    Default Recommend me a fragrance

I'm looking for a new fragrance. Something that's mature but can also be worn by a younger person. It must have good projection and longevity. Sorry if I'm being kind of vague but that's how I imagine this scent. Any suggestions? Thanks

+1 on Rive Gauche Pour Homme. A solid, masculine scent that will cause fewer problems with your "Axe" pals.

Another vote for Rive Guache but it can be hard to like.

Other options coming to mind would be
Chanles Antaeus (very sophisticated, a little leathery..)
Azzaro PH (Lavender, Oakmoss, Ambergris, very good frag)

    ok so thats about £45-£70.

For a fresh citrusy scent go with Colonia Intensa by Acqua di Parma. Its light, fresh, clean and altogether very nice.

Or for a woody scent people have given this one good reviews- Sandalwood by Art of Shaving although I haven't personally tried it.

Terre d'Hermes is also very popular for a vetiver scent and it worth trying.

Fresh: Creed Himalaya. It's like tap dancing in heaven. Too expensive? Get a decant from a reputable source.

Floral: Chanel Egoiste, which would fit into your ' something that's mature' criterion without feeling geriatric. Just dress well. No, doesn't have to be suit and tie. Just---man about town.

Woody: Go to a L'Occitane shop and try out their Vetyver and Eau des 4 Voleurs.

Rive Gauche, again It's not expensive. It smells good. And everybody loves it. Besides, you should try Dior Fahrenheit Absolute.

Considering you live in Ireland, or if you do, have you tried Patrick by Fragrances of Ireland? I would recommend that, and if that doesn't suit you, then look at the YSL line for men: either Jazz or YSL PH (red cap, 1971), or as has been frequenstly suggested, Rive Gauche.
