Default Choosing two from these Creeds

Hi mates, I know that it's been frequently asked about Creeds, but as you'd appreciate, they are very expensive fragrances and I wanted to ask you guys to make sure before purchasing. I don't have the chance to sample here in Turkey and couldn't find the exact samplers on ebay (trust issues with ebay either). I'm gonna by the actual creed from scentedmonkey.

Because that I spend 10 hours of my 24 in an air-conditioned office, cold-weather frags are ruled-out already.

What I would like is to find a Creed with good sillage and longevity (to be worth of the money ) , inoffensive and fresh to be easily worn in office, and make myself feel good. I don't quite care about ladies' attention, coz I believe that no single frag alone is able to create miracles.

However, it'd be great to hear if you received nice comments from ladies

So, I am gonna buy two of these written below, which two would you prefer and why?

    -Silver Mountain
-GIT (would love to buy but it's written everywhere that it is just a better dav. cool water)
-Himalaya (same comment with GIT, much people say it is just a better XS)
    -Virgin Island
    -Millesime Imperial
    -Erolfa
    -Original Vetiver

    Thanks in advance guys

You should buy the ones YOU like. There are many reviews of basenoters in the fragrance directory.

    Sample first.
Wanted: a cap of Bvlgari Thé Vert

Wanted: L' Artisan Timbuktu or Fragonard Concerto

Feel free to visit Polderposh - a young up & coming Dutch fragrance blog!

I wish I had the chance to sample them my friend, but no official retailer here sells Creed and I couldn't find the samplers on ebay (among sellers that ship to Turkey) for these.

It's going to be so expensive if you don't like the scent. Virgin Island water is Lime and Coconut - if you don't like these smells, forget VIW.

    I would say....

Millesime Imperial - a favorite around here. Good in warm weather. It is good and you'll get compliments.

    and

Original Vetiver - Light and happy and it would probably be compatible with the weather and the east/west feeling of Istanbul.

I've got samples of GIT, Silver Mountain Water, Virgin Island Water and Millesime Imperial.

Out of all of those, I'd choose MI any day of the week for what you're describing. I get more compliments when I wear this one than all the others. Virgin Island Water may be too strong and you may find Silver Mountain Water a bit too feminine (to me it's like a powdery blackcurrant fragrance - smells wonderful but some people think it's a bit TOO feminine). MI is more masculine and has a subtle salty note that smells fantastic.

GIT may also be good for you, and it isn't just a 'better' Cool Water. It is markedly different IMO. It smells much greener and more complex, and isn't as 'aquatic' or fresh as CW. I actually wear this one the least, as it is headache-inducing for me if over-applied. Still smells great though.

    Anyhow, MI gets my vote.

BTW, another suggestion I'd make is to try Mugler Cologne. It's an incredibly fresh fragrance. Perfect for office wear IMO. It's unisex and is a really happy, fresh scent. Smells like lemons and soap to me, but with a masculine quality.

Out of all of those the only ones I wouldn't get are Vetyver (not a criticism of the Creed, I'm just not a fan of most Vetyver scents) and GIT - I DO love GIT, and I know a lot of people say it's markedly different from Cool Water, but I can't tell the difference and in a blind smell test I once did only 2 of 6 people asked could smell the difference between GIT and Cool Water (at all points during their evolution) and only one of those expressed a definite preference for GIT, which wasn't enough for me to go out and spend £120 on GIT when I can get Cool Water for less then £20. Of the rest, Virgin Island and Himalaya are my favourites but, as adonis says, VIW has a big coconut note that some people do not like, and Himalaya is often criticised for being too insipid.

    Perhaps Millesime Imperial.

Erolfa and Silver Mountain Water are my choices. Out of the seven you picked, these two smell modern, expensive and are unmistakably Creeds. The others have cheaper counter parts in the designer fragrance world, so why bother smelling like Cool Water, Unforgivable, Mugler Cologne or XS? I didn't consider Virgin Island Water as I feel its, cocktail hour on a tropical island theme would get mighty boring rather quickly.

    I like Erolfa and GIT.

Erolfa for its great marine vibe, the cooling, fresh effect and its slight saltiness.

GIT because you said you wanted creeds, no CW and both are (completely independent and without the need to challenge each other) masterpieces IMO.

GIT and MI are the ultimate Creed frags to me. Must haves. But there are some who think they're a bit siimilar.

SMW a bit odd to me.

Wish you could sample. Really don't like advising blind buys on pricey scents.

MI the only one I would push given you have a bit of an aversion to GIT.

Some of the ladies will like any of the scents mentioned. Worry about what you like and that will follow.

IMO, none of them are worth the money. Why are you stuck up on Creed? There are other fragrances out there, and a perfume house's name sure won't make a liquid smell better...

May I suggest, for your climate -similar to mine - go sample Bulgari Aqua if you don't know this frag, OR... or the cheap alternative to Millesime Imperial, Unforgivable.
Then you can rethink of the Creeds. Also if you definitely want to get some Creeds, Les Senteurs in UK can send you samples.

I got Millesime Imperial two days ago, and guys you are definitely right. Creed is a huge mistake for blind buy.

Either scentedmonkey sold me a fake one, or MI is nothing special, just a fruity refreshing frag. I think even KC Reaction is somewhat better than it.

Fruity? I don't know if it's fake or not but I don't get much fruit aside from a bit of melon. The melon doesn't last very long before it falls into some aquatic notes. It's a shame you don't like it! It's one of my favorites from them. Silver Mountain Water is probably my second favorite

Easy mate I love fragrances, i could afford it and wanted to experience wearing a Creed. I'm not saying it's awful, but my expectations were higher. Or all in all i'm just another victim of aggresive marketing

I will wear it more often stylinA, thanks for the advice.

Im not selling it Leto, but it took me a few wearings to appreciate it. You may never like it. It's certainly not my fave from Creed. But a lot of people do love it.

The only two I've tried are GIT and Himalaya.

GIT is similar to Cool Water, and is slightly better IMO (but not $100+ better). I'll stick with CW.
Himalaya and XS also do share similarities, and in this comparison I prefer XS.

On my next trip to Greece, I plan on wearing Original Santal. I would love to experience both the opening cinnamon sharpness and the rich Creed drydown in the Mediterranean heat. I also think Erolfa would work magic close to a beach.
