    Default Shiseido Zen.. still unknown?

Hasn't been listed in the directory.. no threads.. but this is a very pleasant and surprising scent.

The sweet japanese pear definently suits me..

It's on my "consider buying" list.. but first got to use my 3 samples I gathered in a week, haha.

Shiseido Zen for Men offers a combination of bergamot and Kinkan accords (a kind of orange) at the top, strengthen by sparkling juicy – fruity essences of Nashi (a kind of pear - Pyrus pyrifolia, popular in Asia). The heart consists of rhododendron combined with violet and spicy accords of nutmeg. The base includes extremely masculine leather note, patchouli and utterly elegant musk.

Bottle looks very nice and futuristic aswell.

Hmmmm I've seen the bottle before and was intrigued, but now seeing the notes I know I'd really like to try it. Gotta see if it lives up to it's claim of an "extremely masculine leather note" in the base.

I've considered this. I still have a sample. Extremely masculine leather note? I dunno about that.... Kinkan is kumquat. I'm going to need to test this some more...

It smells like the sound of one hand clapping.

It is a very sweet scent with marine notes running threw it - I don't think many here would give it a 2nd look.

It has been discussed in previous threads. It is just a much sweeter version of very common theme in designer fragrances like Black XS, 1 million and such. It just takes the idea of a fruity "masculine" scent to new hights. Or should I say depths?

Hm.. I'd be interested in trying it! I haven't seen it around at any stores though

I have the sample that came together with a magazine...and to me, thanks to the nutmeg it smells like Vicks Vaporub with apple juice spilled on it: i made a blog post on it http://sanctuary.naomh.net/?p=1073

I would like to love this fragrance because I love the name, the simplicity of the bottle. I read about that this is a scent of light - a light which clearly illuminates your true beauty.

I sampled it yesterday. I never thought it was possible, but it was too fruity for my taste, and I love fruity scents. I didn't detect any leather notes.

Seeing the bottle in that video reminds me of a cube version of Gucci Envy haha

The problem is that the hand is clapping on a table and there are a lot of overripe fruits on that table.

The gratuitous amount of bashing makes me want to try it even more! Maybe I'll see it in Macy's since it's on their site

A friend of mine said that. Then he tried it.......
It is really the most unworthy release of Shiseido..... and to think that it replaces the exquisite Basala.... I can predict many flankers coming soon to rectify the mess the original Zen is.
