Default Givenchy Vetiver reissue (too nutty)

Is Givenchy Vetiver reissue too nutty at any stage in it's development. FTR - I hate nutty.

I also dislike (what I beleive is) nuttyness.

That said, I find Givenchy´s reissued Vetiver really good and wearable, and slightly less nutty than original formulation. Also much less nutty than Sycomore and Villoresi for example.

My (non-nutty) favourites are Malle´s and Floris versions.

Nutty as in hazelnut, chestnut, almond, walnut et al; you know ... nutty.

I agree - not nutty. If you don't like nutty, stay away from Sycomore.

Its not too nutty. Having said that, its the nuttiness that distinguishes the Givenchy from other vetiver frags. The re-issue is also true to the original version. Very true.

Aww...A massive dissapointment, by nutty, do you mean almond-like? if so, almond-like is just fine for me!

If you do not like nut notes, it is not for you. It's vetiver nutty - green, slightly bitter and tannic, sort of like not quite ripe walnut. This note is subtle and excellently done, in fact it is perfect, but nonetheless I would also say that this is the current reference "nutty vetiver", as opposed to Guerlain (tobacco), Dominguez (fresh) and others (I don't get "nutty" in Villoresi).

Nutty? hmmm. I'm picking up plenty of oakmoss but the nuttyness seems to have evaded my nose. It has been one of my favorite Vetivers - and I intend to keep it that way!

Another unabashed fan here. Just finishing a bottle these days, with two backups standing by.
