So...to bring this thread back to the original topic in the thread title - anyone out there hear any more information about Voyage d'Hermes?

Ellena: "But to create abstract art. A play on paradoxes. Complementary elements. No, this perfume would not smell of a kind of wood, a flower, a particular raw material, but of the unknown in all its glory. To express its nuances and unexpected pairings. Familiar, surprising. Energy, comfort. Masculine, feminine. An infectious mixing of genres. A woody fresh, musky fragrance."
Perfumery can not be compared to music. What Ellena describes with the above is literally that what I would adore and fall for right away. It is some kind of a quintessence of the last century - without any connotation good or bad: science, urbanity, diversity. Alas, the first attempt I know of, Terre D'Hermes was a slap in the face. After about 60 minutes of development the Iso E Super "base" comes in and this roars its singular note monosonic ever on. That is some kind of a disgusting insult against the customer.
To call such minimalism, I don't know. I LIKE Terre D'Hermes for it's sheer composition, this rotten Mediterranean waste alike smell that I know from traveling the coast line nearly every year. Vegetable waste is a very complex, hence intriguing odor. But only the Iso E Super is what makes Terre D'Hermes an applicable "fragrance" for the mass market.
I would rather like it and I would have for sure bought it if it would last 20 minutes and off we are. As an artsy light refreshing EDC with a wink of an eye! The Iso kills it, alas, I don't ride dead horses, for they don't move. My bitterness with JC Ellena is due to the gap between the promise he makes while stating his concept and what comes out in mass market reality. I'm afraid I'm through.

Relax, merry. Why such hostility to your fellow board members and to a fragrance you haven't even smelled yet?
Patou Pour Homme and other rare off-site sales.
Rare, vintage, and niche bottles for sale.
For me a work of fiction exists only insofar as it affords me what I shall bluntly call aesthetic bliss, that is a sense of being somehow, somewhere, connected with other states of being where art (curiosity, tenderness, kindness, ecstasy) is the norm. - Vladimir Nabokov
I can't wait to smell it. Anyone that has actually smelled this thing yet? Merry, have you actually smelled it yet?
There was a small write up in a magazine that said Harrods will be stocking this exclusively in the UK , but sadly gave no dates for when it will be available !

according to Hermes store they will have this on their shelves on MARCH 14
Great news - thanks!
Well, I have a sample of this. What do any of you feel about this. I like it a lot but I am also liking Poivre Samarchande.
Is the juice worth the squeeze?
Honestly, I prefer Poivre Samarcande overall, but in part simply because it's more substantial, and I tend to like that. Voyage d'Hermès is an excellent scent, and I love it when I want something light and pleasant, but I simply have to be in the mood. Same with Poivre Samarcande, really. I'm just in that mood more often.
I agree. I just submitted a review of VDH. I compared it to eau de cartier. In short, VDH is a striped down version of TDH that leans on the fem side and although better quality than EDC, achieves the same motif/effect. I too much prefer Poivre Samarcande and considering a purchase of it!

Gave a variety of samples to my significant other. One night AND morning I kept asking her what she wore (I thought it was a Creed) it was Voyage ! Worked well.
