Question Giorgio Monti and Jeanne Arthes?

Has anybody ever heard of these fragrance houses?

I was at a fragrance shop in the mall and the SA there kept pushing just about every Giorgio Monti scent on me, saying that they were "the very best." I smelled samples of a couple and I liked them, so I bought some. The packaging has a bunch of Russian text all over it.

The two that I bought were Pur-Sang EDT and Art Club EDP for me; and Monti EDP for my wife. I also bought Jeanne Arthes' Club Aficionado EDT.

They were all a semi-blind buy since the only time I smelled it was on the little strip of paper he handed me. He gave me a discount on them since they didn't have the small bottles, so he reduced them to the small bottle price. When he saw that the three bottles were all I was going to buy, he told me I could have a female scent for 50%, so that's how I ended up with Monti EDP.

I'll return them tomorrow. It was a little bit of an impulse buy.

Don't know anything about Giorgio Monti, but Jeanne Arthes is well known within France, from the south of France in the perfume region of Grasse. They have a few distributors outside of Europe. In New York, there are one or two places that carry them. I have many of their men's fragrances. Purchased them directly from their facility in France. Pretty good scents.

Jeanne Arthes was really popular in the 80's with their scent Cobra a kind of knock off of Dior Poison -

They just relaunched Cobra about a year ago and included a men's version which is a spicy sweet oriental.
