I love it. It's one of my favorites for winter. The kouros association is definitively there.
It's surely worth looking for this incredible fragrance.
As for Cristobal, I think it's not even a shadow of BpH.
So today I bought Aramis and Rive Gauche (original, not PH) for a super steep discount ($30 total purchase for 100mL bottles of both) at a cart at my local mall. The sales associate let me grab a mini for free and I saw nothing of particular interest. Having never tried anything by Balenciaga I figured that the hype over Cristobal must mean that some of their other frags must be decent too. How right I was!
Why haven't I heard of this before? Its sensational! It feels like Kouros in an apple cider mood, with less florals, more spices, and a big fat patchouli to anchor it down. Its earthy, spicy, and actually quite sweet, and feels like an orientalized chypre-- whatever that is.
Anyone else as in love with it as I am?

Like you said, Balenciaga pour Homme is sensational. And not so available, since its discontinued.
Nice buy!
ointments and perfume delight the heart....
#BBOG!
Good buying on the Aramis and Rive Gauche.
And, if you'd like to go back to the mall and pick up the remaining minis of Balenciaga pour Homme, and send them to me, that'd be great.
It's a fantastic fragrance - and it defies understanding that they would discontinue the fragrance at all, let alone one which carries the house name.

Balenciaga pour Homme would be my signature scent but, as everybody knows, it has been discontinued. Ted Lapidus pour Homme reminds me of it, but Balenciaga's blend is way better.
Someone posted that layering the original Bijan with Ted Lapidus pour Homme results in a very similar blend to that of Balenciaga. If anyone does it, please report results back.
Both Balenciaga Pour Homme & Cristobal are great fragrances.
That was me. I posted it on the Powerhouse Users social group and on this forum too. It really does work (another member of the Powerhouse group tried it and agreed). I spray into my palm one shot of Lapidus and two shots of Bijan, lightly rub my hands together and spread it all over - Voila! Not exactly like Balenciaga, but pretty damn close IMO. I wore BPH for years.

Hi Pollux, I'm that other Guy shamu1 is talking of (He's a Genius) I tried it and it's 3\4 of the scent of Balenciaga. close enough
Hi, Pollux...good news! I have at home a 1oz. bottle of BALENCIAGA pour homme from FragranceX. It seems brand-new and smells as the original juice... An old friend of mine has came back!!!
ARRIVEDERCI !
