    Default My most complimented colognes

I have a large wardrobe of colognes & the most complimented ones are as follows.

Antaeus (most people liked this one, young & old)
Opium (women always ask what I'm wearing, they love it)
Envy (kind of a youth-type cologne, but lots of compliments)
Burberry London (sexy, smart & masculin is what this smells like, so I'm told) &

Paul Sebastian (Surprised! believe it or not, this has given me the most compliments, I wear it lightly, one spray to the chest & when your body temperature heats up this thing just entrances people. I don't like to say what it is when asked, because they might think it's an armani, chanel, guerlain, but it's a cheapo that rocks for my chemistry.

    I also own.

Tuscany (smells okay kinda generic & does not last)
Duc de Vervins (friesh smelling, but to much like Drakkar, Caesars man)
Santos (Brown bottle) (I like it, but where are the compliments?)
Gentleman (has an old vibe going to it & it's ok, but this is stuck in the 70's)
Terre de Hermes (coworker said it smelled synthetic) I agree.
Rive Gauche (people think I'm wearing Brut) Ouch!
Yatagan (some like it most hate it)
Ungaro 111 (They changed the formula on this one, used to be great, now it's just alright)

This is my most complimented scents list

YSL Rive Gauche. Women are crazy about this scent. I wear it at work, in the club, in bed :P

Montale Black Oud. It is so romantique and seductive.

Amen Pure Coffee. It is a very intersesting and different gourmand scent.

Hermes Nil. Dry, deep, calm, pure. You are so innocent when wearing this scent.

CdG 2Man. Wear it in the club. People love it when you smell a little...strange :P

Montale Red Aoud. It is rich, complex, creamy sweet, and very seductive. My hi-quality gourmand scent without any cocoa or chocolate note.

L'Occitane Eav de Bavx: This cheap but great vanilla scent works like magic.

I get the most compliments when wearing: XPEC Original, Lonestar Memories, Rêverie au jardin, Heritage, Ambre Fétiche, Black Aoud, Vol de Nuit, 1740 Marquis de Sade and Roadster.
Curiously I never get compliments when wearing scents like Chanel´s Cuir de Russie, New York and Derby - fragrances I love immensely! Hmmm.....

Over the years I have worn hundreds of different fragrances as part of my fragrance quest, but my most often complimented fragrances have been: CdG Avignon, Le Labo Rose 31, Creed Erolfa, Le Labo Vetiver 46, Declaration Concentree, MPG Eau des Iles. I almost never get a comment or compliment on any type of citrus, fresh, leather, oriental fragrance. My most often complimented fragrance types are incense, woods, and earthy vetiver fragrances.

Tribute attar by amouage. Several awkward teenage guys even asked me what I was wearing because they wanted some-- that is impressive. But I've only worn that out once, so the other would be Avignon by CdG

Strictly from my wardrobe, I got the most compliments on colognes which might smell good or even great, but by far- at least in my opinion- not the most groundbreaking of the frags I own: Gucci Envy for Men, Boss Bottled, Versace Blue Jeans, On El by J del Pozo and Cerutti 1881 Amber; well, frankly, I expected the more classic, edgy, formal or extravagant parts of my wardrobe to be more complimented.

I haven't had any scents all that long so I haven't had many complements yet.. but for what's it worth I got comments on one of Bond no. 9's scents (Hamptons, Saks 5th Avenue, or Chez Bond.. can't remember which), Silver Mountain Water, GPHII, and 212 on Ice.

When I first smelled it, I immediately thought "odd niche, for quirky wear only." Strangely, I get lots of compliments on Acier Aluminum. Who'd guess?

Also get lots of compliments on Neroli Sauvage.
