I was at a Cartier boutique yesterday and they had Déclaration EDT, Essence, and Bois Bleu, but no Cologne. Given that Déclaration is essentially a eau de cologne, I'm curious to see what Mathilde Laurent will do to change the composition. Cologne will be the first Déclaration flanker not composed by J.C. Ellena.

Let us not forget, as I mentioned on the other thread about this scent, that JC Ellena / Cartier already did Declaration Eau de Genereuse - which I own. Which IMO is already a 'cologne' version of Declaration. I'm interested to see how this one will differ...

This is at Nordstorm & Sephora now. It's quite nice. Another quality Cartier flanker. Surprised there isn't more interest in this one.

I tried it, though very briefly, so I'm probably remembering it wrong, but I think there was quite a strong tea note to it, or maybe it was mint or something. Either way it was quite fresh, and I do remember liking it quite a lot.

Very much a unisex scent. I get a lot of clove in it.

Is this like Eau de Cartier at all?

I tried it - it didn't do too much for me. I prefer Declaration Eau Genereuse.

BTW - Declaration Cologne is an EDT.

I think it will be good as long as the tune down the clove.... I have Bois Bleu and the clove is very prominent and cloying

I tried it awhile back at Nieman's - I remember it being too fleeting to warrant consideration.

Agreed. Like SO many other scents, starts off great and then fades to "eh"...
