Exclamation Birmane by Van Cleef and Arpel.

Has anyone tried this one. The notes sound super and has heliotrope!, the wunder note. Birmane. I have not seen this one spoken of here on Base Notes. Is this a sleeper or a dog?

Had a small mini of this somewhere... think it's in storage, so, relying on memory only, I seem to remember that it smelled like apple, maybe apple pie, quite warm. Didn't go on to buy a full bottle, but I think I considered it. Definitely worth considering. As per usual the suggestion to get a sample first?

Birmane is a beautiful, rich woody oriental.

Pineapple is very notable in the top notes, with vanilla and tonka bean coming in a close second. The scent itself is quite sweet but not in a sickening sense.
The florals in the heart are lovely. The heliotrope and rose are stand-outs.
In the drydown you'll experience a thick, creamy caramel note blended with sandalwood and soft musk.

I find it to be very luxourious. Birmane could be easily worn all year round.
