Default Help me pick a new scent please

I love green Irish tweed , himalaya , and terre hermes,
I need something to wear year round to add to my collection.
My girlfriend hates most everything out there she likes green Irish tweed
    that's about it.
I wanted to like allure sport , platinum egoiste but I think one was too sweet and one was too sagey...
I like creed OV for hot days but I just tried mugler and now I can't decide on those.
I think vetiver guerlain smells too old...
Is L Instant guerlain a good addition to my collection ?
Is it fresh enough for summer?
I don't want too much foody smell either I just threw away half a bottle of nutmeggy polo double black

If you're on a tight budget, Cool Water is kind of like GIT. I got a 4.2 oz from Amazon.com for $25. She'll like it. The question is, will you?

Cool Water ~= Green Irish Tweed. Paco Rabanne XS ~= Himalaya, but lasts 2-3 times as long. Have you tried Chanel Allure Homme edition Blanche? Its really great for summer, very refreshing mix of lemon and sandalwood.

Girls like these on me year-round:

Versace The Dreamer - I really really recommend you get this. Cherry and unsmoked cig tobacco. It smells good to me, but GREAT to women (lasts 12 hours) $27 for 100 mL

Rive Gauche - Classically manly, yet modern and fresh barbershop scent (lasts 2 days) $25 for 125 mL

I also recommend you give YSL L'Homme and Cartier Declaration a shot, perhaps? Or Gucci II (well, if she likes black tea and a bit of cinnamon)?

Wow! That lasts 2 days? TWO DAYS?!

It lasts on me for about 6 to 8 hours, depending on if I'm sweating or not. I'm probably doing something wrong with the way I'm applying it, or it's a skin specific thing. I'll start a thread to seek opinions on this.

And to the OP: You could try Versace the dreamer and Bvlgari Black .

Thanks for the help...my girlfriend thought gucci 2 smelled like raid bug spray lol...
I guess it had a wierd lavender in it...
She dislikes the rose smell in terre de Hermes which I didn't even identify till she said it...
Maybe I'll try geir or mugler cologne....
    Anyone here love Geir??

On me, it projects well for 6 hours. It lasts on my skin for two days. For example, if I don't shower one day, I'll still be able to smell it on my skin the next day. Try spraying your wrist and check it the next day. If you can't smell it with your nose to your wrist, exhale hot air onto the spray spot (I spray on a birthmark so I always know the exact spray spot). After exhaling, wait 1 second and sniff again. It should still be on your skin.

Another green one I have that is really nice is Live Jazz. The guys on basenotes helped me find it.

It's mint with some citrus, and vanilla at the base. Someone told me "you smell rich" and it cost me around 20 bucks lol

Grey Flannel is really cheap and green. It won the FIFI award in 1976. It smells like violets, herbs, and sandalwood. I like it, my father loves it, but it's definitely a "try before you buy", because some may say it smells antiquated. To me it smells like a classier Fahrenheit, and Fahrenheit smells modern to me.

YSL L'Homme, Rive Gauche, and the Dreamer are all really good suggestions.

I will add Live Jazz and Silver Mountain Water.

I'll thrown D&G Pour Homme in the pile there... it's not overly expensive, pretty tried tested winner. Many many girls I know like this one, it's a solid all rounder IMO.
