    Exclamation Ambre Gris by Balmain.

There have been very few fragrances with which I have instantly found accord both cerebral and of the heart; Ambre Gris is one such fragrance. I was thought a bit off when I bought seven bottles immediately but, given the propensity of perfumers to discontinue and reformulate with abandon I felt it prudent to assure my continued access to this marvelous fragrance. I found the article, which I have noted with an internet address below, interesting in how sometimes a hunch pays off. I now feel vindicated in my volume purchase.

I would love to try this, but several other premiums out there ahead of it. Thank you for mentioning and sharing.

Man, you were smart! I suspect 'some folks' thought I had popped a screw buying seven bottles of Jil Sander III and five bottles Mystere just the second I sniffed out their discontinuation; but I was cagey!
Congratulations!! Hard to believe that one was selling for 14 USD a pop!
(I think I need more Balmain de Balmain!)

    Cheers!

You've done well to stockpile at a reduced price N_Tesla.
Ambre Gris is available widely online, (particularly in Europe) but not at the $30-$40 mark that it once was.
For anyone interested in a purchase; Luckyscent, Essenza Nobile and Ausliebezumduft all carry it right now. There is also a body milk available, according to Essenza Nobile.
Unless there is evidence to support it, lets not speculate about discontinuations just yet.

When I sampled this I thought it was a real winner, but it's been out of stock just about everwhere for a while. That's why, when I saw it re-listed at parfum1.com a few days ago, I ordered a bottle. Some people don't llike that site, but I have had no problems with them.

knit_at_nite; I am glad you were able to order a bottle. As you likely know I am quite devoted to this fragrance. I should wear it more often, but there are so many out there to try. I am happy I stocked up when I did since price and availability has become an issue. IMO Ambre Gris is a beautiful fragrance that is understated and yet classy at the same time.

I can't believe all really good fragrances keep getting discontinued or reformulated!
    Time to stock up!
I think it is very clever to stock up on a fragrance you love!
