MassMenace, quite some time ago, I was kind of on a similar hunt. I liked the "candy-orange" opening, which in my opinion was what the scent was meant to be represented by, considering the color of the bottle and the name of the scent. The orange-y top really ought to stay longer than it does. It clears up too fast and leaves behind a thin, bland aquatic accord that is very "meh".
You may like to try Hermes Concentre D'Orange Verte. Do note, that the orange in CDOV is more a realistic, mildly bitterish accord, not the orange-flavoring kind that is in Clinique Happy for Men. I did not find them similar, but thought it was worth mentioning, since I had found myself to enjoy CDOV much more, having once been an avid user of Clinique Happy. CDOV is also a much better overall scent for me. Dries down pleasantly. While the orange in CDOV remains a constant, the scent as a whole is not the longest lasting one. Longevity (lack of) seems the case for many citrus-centric scents.
