Arrow Rive Gauche Pour Homme Is For Women

I have some scents that I wouldn't be surprised to smell on a woman, but Rive Gauche?!

I sat across from a lady I've never seen in my life and she said to her friend "the guy in front of us wears the same perfume as me". My first thought was "Are you serious? I wear Fleur du Male all the time, and have never heard anything like that!".

Have you ever bumped into a woman that was wearing a hairy-chested fragrance?

This proves the mantra we have here: "To each his/her own"- wear whatever you want.

I rather like it on me. So what, it's super soapy and peppery? It's also powdery and sweet!

I can think of far more 'virile' scents, released lately, recommended for both genders, e.g. Rose Poivree...

Rive Gauche Pour Homme is just a fantastic scent. I've going to bathe in it tomorrow.

I bathed it in it today, and will swim in it tomorrow.

I can't say I've ever encountered a woman wearing a macho scent like Rive Gauche. I suppose it could work. Hell, Mazzolari Lui and Yatagan are macho scents too, and I think they'd smell awesome on a woman.

My husband sometimes wears Rive Gauche PH. I prefer it on him rather than on me; for myself I stick to the original RG.

That said, I once gave a good friend a decant of Dior's Eau Sauvage from my bottle. She loves it!

Agree with Dennard: Wear what you like, and ignore labels.

Shamu1, I just read your post. Totally agree about the Yatagan. I think it's great on a woman.

    RGPH- why not?

Is there really anything that would smell bad on a woman?

    Maybe Clubman or Old Spice.

Maybe masculine-identified women. Cool in that regard. But don't get me wrong, I'm very open-minded about these things. In any case, Rive Gauche PH strikes me as much more male than female.

Me too- it smells like shaving cream, but Hillaire (above) can probably make it work fine.

What about the original Rive Gauche (femme)?

That is a fantastic happenstance. I want to walk by a brothel and have it reek of Kouros.

I don't mind women wearing my dress shirts in the morning, but I have to draw the line with them trying to pull off Rive Gauche Pour Homme. It's like women collectively borrowing my razor. No.

I remember Turin recommending Rive Gauche to men. But that was before it has been modified (To beginners: original RG is a feminine).

I believe a girl who goes to the same gym as me wears Kouros on occasion, or at least something that smells similar.

I'm not sure about RGPH, but I just smelled a beatiful young Lady not long ago wearing Farenheit and I was pleasently surprised

You should tell her she smells great and ask what it is.

You should have checked under the hood to confirm. I think every car mechanic wears Fahrenheit.

Hmm. Masculine, Feminine... who cares if it smells good on?

Why? How do you feel about women wearing what is marketed as "masculine" and men wearing what is marketed as "feminine"?

I have to ask why the line? Scent smells different on women and men (and differs from person to person regardless of gender). I LOVE lots of "men's" scents on my own skin... I avoid scent when my sweetie is around because he prefers the natural scent ... but why even worry about whether a scent is (marketed or designed) for a man or a woman, if the wearer likes it?

ahh, then you'll kindly forgive my tendency toward gruffness with regards to the unsanctioned liberation of the one, the only Rive Gauche Pour Homme...

But seriously ladies, put it down or I'll bite your kneecaps off!

Although I tend to perceive Rive Gauche as an almost "powerhouse barbershop" frag

it does have to my nose, a certain soft and lush floral succession of notes too, even if marginal in comparison to the more overt "traditionally masculine" ones, anyhow, I don't see any reasons why it wouldn't smell great on female wearers

The other day I met an old lady who had doused herself in Mitsouko. I just ignored her, thinking it smells much better on me.
