Default I found a way to get any cologne to last 10 hours.

When you apply the cologne spray your neck and wrists then let it settle after about 10 minutes then reapply exactly the same place after about 10 minutes......i dont know why but this somehow just makes the scent blast for hours and wont go away.

Probably because the initial sprays settle into your skin allowing the second set of sprays to stay more on top? Just a guess, but have you tried this with stronger fragrances? I couldn't imagine that being ok to do with some Mugler colognes.

Hhmmmmmmm.... I've done this trick for ~a minute--which seemed to work fairly well--now I'll have to try the ten minute experiment!

It depends on the cologne, I have tried it with the colognes with poor longevity and it did not work at all.
Take 4711 for example (the worst when it come to longevity) no matter how many times you spray, you can't make it last more than 30 minutes.

I might try this trick then, I have EXTREMELY poor longevity on my wrists and neck. I put on A-Men tonight for a date maybe 5 hours ago if that and I can barely smell it on my wrists. The only way I can get even A-Men to last on me is spraying on my chest.

Anything to get my beloved Gendarme to last more than an hour is welcomed news.

Dry skin is slightly moisturized by the oils in the fragrance. Absorbed oil results in reduced sillage and longevity.
    Your method works.
The initial blast moisturizes. The subsequent spray in the same spot has a better chance of projecting than a second spray elsewhere.

So, you're spraying twice as much for greater longevity. Genius.

You should try it before you mock it. Two sprays on different spots will project less than two sprays on the same spot.

    Er, Spray;

I said nothing about where the sprays go, and I know exactly what chiefs said.

My point remains - chiefs is proposing to spray twice as much for greater longevity. Effing amazing. Wow.

Why not just moisturize your skin beforehand thus requiring less use of the fragrance?

It seems it is actually the moisturisation that enhances longevity. There is actually a blog on it here and here. The OP was on to a good idea, but approached it in the way known to him. There is a more efficient way, as mentioned above. Genius we celebrate today grew from simple ldeas.

    Thanks for sharing, chiefs.

So let me get this strait?

After i shave i put on a moisturizer "after shave" and wait a bit while it's absorbed into my skin, and THEN spray on top of it? Wouldn't that prevent access to the actual skin, and stay on the after shave?

Stays on the top layer of the skin where it could project easily and the moisture beneath it will prevent it from being absorbed deeper thus prolonging it.

I'll try this, not many frags last lone on me,
not even EdPs ... I usually put on some
neutral bodylotion before frag, but I will
    try this advise too..!
