Daimiris does sound like it is right up my alley.
I was just snooping around the net, and stumbled upon a blog that I had never heard of before, one of the posts was regarding this relatively new perfume house from Italy called Laboratorio Olfattivo. This seems to be the type of thing fans of artisinal fragrances will eat up. It sort of has this Le Labo turned classical vibe to their marketing. So far they have 4 fragrances, two created by Marie Duchêne, 1 by Henry Buccella ( can anyone I.D. these two, I can't find mention of them anywhere else), and 1 by........... none other than I good ol' friend Pierre Guillaume (of Parfumerie Generale fame). How did our rabid PG fans let this one go unnoticed? Either way, let's get to the fragrances shall we?

Seek not the favor of the multitude; it is seldom got by honest and lawful means. But seek the testimony of few; and number not voices, but weigh them. - Immanuel Kant

looks like daimiris could be some like Felanilla...

Daimiris does sound interesting:
"This fragrance is a tribute to a female divinity, enchanting and enchanted at the same time. It whispers forth notes of amber and spice and suggests delicate and harmonious movements. It evokes that sort of "old-style" fragrance built on elegance and beauty, but with a distinctly contemporary feel. Iris, daim and amber together unleash torturous pleasure on the skin." - First in Fragrance
Is it for men though?
Please see my "wanted samples thread"
Looking for decants of French Lover and Chergui.
From NST:
I'd say no. The part about the womanly caress is very welcome, but the latter -- the gaze of a man as he contemplates my body is not something I'd enjoy.[Pierre Guillaume] has created a fragrance that captures the womanly caress of velvet and the gaze of a man as he contemplates a woman’s body.![]()

Daimiris didn`t reminded me of Felanilla, but it has the DNA of a PG fragrance, that likes to use gourmand notes to create complexity in scents without making them foody at all. I`d say that daimiris seems closer, at least to me, to L'Oiseau de Nuit, although L'Oiseau de Nuit has a citrus liqueur with leather and smoke on me, while daimiris is like an old leather made modern with a boozy gourmand side that reminds me off dark chocolate and rum. It`s very cozy on an winter day.
They all sound like they're worth sampling.
I would love to try Daimiris.
