Hmmm. I just find it a little odd that someone who's after civet would choose to ignore fragrances marketed at women when it seems apparent this particular group has the significantly greater number of civet-driven fragrances. I thought civet-lovers would hunt down civet wherever it may be found... I guess comfort zones vary with the individual... Is there any particular women's fragrance with civet that is too feminine for a guy to pull off?? I wear Patou 1000 sometimes...

I love 1000, I've read that it's been discontinued. Are you saying that it has civet in it? Just curious.

I like tasteful use of civet in a fragrance. My current civet choice is Givenchy's Gentleman for its masterful use of cinnamon, patchouli and civet. Even the current formulation is an excellent wear. The long drawn out cold spell has made me addicted to it.

    I accept with informatioN:
Not trying to be trouble, but have you tried Jicky? I don't think any of its starring ingredients say "woman" to most people, and it has a cologne "vibe" in the lighter formulations due to the citrus.

Absolutely. A snarling civet note from the get go.

I like to say that "Obsession for Men" is a civet based frag.
Though, with this...I like to say that Kouros is quite dirty...I wouldn't be entirely sure if it was civet based...though certainly pertains ilk qualities.

Good luck and I know you'll find a great Civet Cologne!

    Take care my Basenotes Family!
