    Default St. Patrick's Day

Are you wearing (planning to wear) "something green" for St. Patrick's Day? Green Irish Tweed seems the obvious choice. I'm debating between that and Mugler Cologne right now.

    What about you?

It's supposed to be a party sunny spring day in the 60s. Bowling Green sounds like a great fit to me.

The bright green of reformulated Chanel No. 19 or Pour Monsieur...

Actually, perhaps Inis would be more in the true Irish spirit--a unisex scent!

I would choose between Geo. F. Trumper's Wild Fern or Miller & Bertaux's Green, green, green and green. But I have an even more appropriate scent for tomorrow -- Patrick by Fragrances of Ireland. A delightful scent!

Chamade. It smells green, although I didn't have St. Patrick's Day in mind when I chose it.

I am traveling this week, so only have a few fragrances with me. But remembered it was going to be St. Patrick's Day, so packed Green Irish Tweed.

Honest, I NEVER saw tweed from Ireland in green. If You google for this idiom You get up to page 15 only " blah blah ... CREED GREEN IRISH TWEED ... blah blah". So I conclude that the double connection of green = tweed = Ireland is just a marketing gag of CREED.

Once again, and in no way told to offend You, thgolfer, really.

I would suggest Balmain Vent Vert, 'cause of it's unlike more appealing advertising gives a sketch of what we are used to expect from Ireland - besides the famous Guinness and James Joyce:

Grey Flannel I second as a second.

No offense taken merry.waters, and thanks for the reply. Honestly, I don't get anything "green", "irish", or "tweed" from it either. I just get "cool water". However, since Cool Water was my High School and College staple, I do like the way they both smell.

I thank You very much for the clarification, thgolfer.

An other reminder of St Patrick's Day in Ireland could be FATH Green Water. It starts with some verry frresh natural notes like mint and bergamot and dries down to some woody, spicey, a tad fruity and pleasantly warm, if not cosy juniper berry. The connection to gin is obvious. That's a mans fragrance to go out. No girly ornament, the pure stuff.
