Arrow Camouflage Fragrances for Detroit Residents

If I lived in Detroit, I would wear The Dreamer to work because I think it smells like fabric softener. Which other perfumes are camouflaged enough to pass for something else that won't get you fired in Detroit ?

There are a few Creeds that don't last long enough on me to be noticeable after the drive to work. I guess that would count?

Gendarme just smells clean. It could easily pass for soap, shampoo, etc.

Gendarme smells like freshly laundered shirts. Also, try some soapy scents like Mugler Cologne and the two Pradas. Don't let the fragrance police get ya!

Dzing if you work in the circus or zoo.
Secretions Magnifiques if you work in the BDSM sex industry.
Thanks, Hillaire, for helping out 33% of Detroit's population

Comme des Garcons: Skai, possibly Soda, Dry Clean, or Odeur 71 (Tar or Garage for the road crews?)

Demeter Fragrance Library and BPAL also have some scents that would be hard for the average person to pin down as perfumes.

    Excellent suggestions, Dobson!

Doesn't the law purport to even regulate the use of fabric softeners/ddryers sheets, too? (sigh)

If so, I imagine P & G will hire lawyers and have this law overturned--they have such a huge budget. Enjoy our perfume while we can, mes amis....

Gai Mattiolo Uomo also has got this (very long lasting) fabric softener accord.

    Musk musk musk. Khiels, specifically.

I think I'd wear Oud Cuir d'Arabie and make sure a leather jacket was never TOO far away.

Likewise, a well-placed cinnamon bun may explain away Musc Ravageur, though people may wonder why you never eat it. ( "It's my test of dieting will!" )

I'd start wearing Joop! Homme (even though I despise the stuff!) as a protest.

I'm wearing Chrome today. 1 or 2 sprays can smell soapy and clean, and not like a perfume.

I think several of the CB I Hate Perfume offerings would work. "In the Library" perhaps. Or maybe "M2 Black March" for the mortician or funeral director types. Surely there's lots of those in Detroit, right? What, with it being the murder capital of America and all?

I always think that eau de cartier smells like herbal shampoo... in a good way, mind you.

Maybe you could get by with a light application of a barbershop frag (Rive Gauche for example) under the pretense that it is a shaving cream.

    Demeter Laundrette

Kinf od like CdG Dry Clean but cheaper

A very light application of Tea for Two or other tea scent, while you have a cup of tea nearby might do the trick as well
But once you get locked into a serious perfume collection, the tendency is to push it as far as you can.

Hugo XY smells like you just stepped out of the shower...

McQueen's Kingdom for that whiff of armpit pong (or so they say...)

Alternatively, wear a tobacco frag. And tell the boss the zero fragrance rule has stressed you enough to start smoking...

Serge Lutens - Miel de Bois. Just tell the boss you suffer from urinary incontinence. :P
