Thumbs up Green Irish Tweed: My initial impressions

I recently purchased a 4 oz. tester bottle for the first time from Fragrancenet and wanted to share what I think so far of this "Hall Of Fame" cologne. I really enjoy the clean, green notes (and especially the lemon verbena). The smell transitions to a nice drydown in about 30 minutes on me. The jury is still out on longevity. It really stays close to the skin after about 2 hours. After 7 hours I reapplied with an atomizer, and enjoyed it much more as it took another turn. This time it smelled very floral and fresh. Not too feminine, but definately smelled of a garden during spring. Anyone else get this out of GIT? I really wish it projected better and lasted longer, but my skin really seems to devour fragrance anyway.

Yeah, that's about the same experience for me. I don't get a lot of Verbena and I get mildly annoyed by the ambergris in the drydown. By then it's shower time anyway.

Everyone talks about the splendid amber base to this one (and other Creeds). But even though I normally love fragrances with amber, I get mildly annoyed by it in GIT too. I'm glad to see I'm not the only one. I guess I like my amber to be a more subdued role player than the stand out star.
