    Default SotD Monday 22 March

    Good morning!

It snowed heavily last night and the temperature is still below zero but sun and Annick Goutal Folavril remind me that it is Spring anyway...

    Have a marvy Monday!

So under stress, I tend to overspray . Hell I have used A LOT of Brasil Dream by E L in the last day and a half. They must have smelt me coming a mile away . *chuckle* Seriously, it's good ,light hearted juice and it's not too overpowering.
Today it's Chanel No 5 extrait.

Have a good day everyone and I am thinking of those Basenoters under stress ,ill or just in need of some love and hugs.

First time wearing it, I've been putting it off for months. Once I've got the full drydown it's getting washed off, because it's not for me. So I'll probably have a Scent of the Afternoon too (eyes Knize Ten lasciviously)...

You all may think I'm "nuts" but I love the smell of plain 'ole Jergens lotion.

It reminds me of being a little girl & playing at my great grandmother's house. She canned fresh foods. All of the jars filled with fruits and vegetables reminded me of jewels sitting on the shelves, as the caught the sunlight.

Not nuts at all, RHM! That's such a pleasant and comforting aroma. If you like that Jergen's lotion scent, you may want to give Starflower from Anya's Garden a try sometime. Actually, Frederic Malle's L'Eau d'Hiver reminds me of Jergen's a bit, too.

Anyway, my SOTD is Fendi Palazzo. Happy Monday to all!

Stiiiiiill scentless.....I sprayed the tiniest bit of The pour un Ete the other day and it became a massive, heady, sillage bomb! A l'Artisan edt???? I make no sense. Anyway, I'm off to the store to buy unscented Curel for my moisturizing routine. Lubriderm is starting to smell like bleach. I just keep getting weirder and weirder.....

Gosh RHM, I have a great memory of Jergens lotion too ~ my grandmother used to keep a tiny bottle (glass with a black bakelite cap) in her purse ("her purse" - thinking of Quarry!) and she used to take it out and dab some on my tiny hands. I'd rub them together and put them palms up directly to my nose and take a deep breath in! AHHHHHHHH! I LOVE IT! Thanks RHM, for bringing that one back!

Feels like a woodsy sort of day...so I'm going with an old favorite ~ Feminite' du Bois, by Shiseido.

    Hello everyone!

I'm wearing Mariella Burani (from a generously shared sample - thanks again!) I realize I represent the minority with this, and I was hoping my opinion would change, but this is my third try and all I get is softly-scented solid deodorant, maybe one of the Secret Solids. So.... no.

I sure do like the pretty bottle though... such a shame.

RHM, count me in with the Jergen's lotion fans. I get that cherry-almond note in the beginning of Louve and I love it.

SOTD is Parfums de Nicolai Balkis. It's gray and damp here today and I find this one works very nicely in humid and/or rainy weather such as we're having this morning.

Yesterday I wore L'Artisan Parfumeur La Chasse aux Papillons ...this morning it's more of the same, until I crave something different.

Count me in as a Jergens fan, it reminds me of my mother. When I was little I would watch her get ready to go out, her routine always began with a generous slathering of Jergens lotion. Amazing what memories can be recalled by scent.

I'm much happier now in vintage Prelude by Balenciaga. I adore this unique fragrance, my favorite from Balenciaga. Most people seem to find this to be all about the amber, but to me it's a very fresh and herbal, almost forest-y. I don't get a lot of amber until the very end, but I believe it adds its gentle warmth to the blend from the start. Oddly (but serendipitously) enough, it reminds me very much of my beloved original Skin So Soft, for which I've never been able to find any notes. I really need to wear this more.

Absolutely unisex, good for all seasons, highly recommended, probably discontinued.

I have not picked a fragrance yet, just wanting to wish everybody a nice week. Jergens is yummy. Tdem, you are right, the top notes of SL Louve smell like Jergens.
