Spring has come. Time to swap perfume.
Any suggestions for a well blended, not overly sweet floral fragrance?
Thanks.

Chanel Bois des Iles
+1 Richard James (Savile Row)

Kenzo Power
Another one for Richard James.
Roger Gallet Bouquet Imperiale. Light, classy, wonderful.
Acqua di Genova do two unisex fragrances which are called Gold and Silver. They are nice floral, neither too masculine or feminine, last a long time and are not in your face florals.

Boum Homme
My current favorite florals are Paestum Rose and Muscs Koublai Khan (civet and rose). I think they are non gender-specific scents and are easy to pull off. They're not very heavy, IMO.

Yes, batabidd, do try Insensé.

Knize Two may be worth trying, if you like jasmine and violet.
Vintage Dolce Vita - clearly a unisex floral frag!

Demon to Some - Angel to Others
I've been wearing Angel Schlesser Essentielle pour femme EDP lately which is a woodsy rose which is very nice. Long story how I came by it, but it was by accident and I tried wearing it and found I liked it.
Funnily enough I was wearing Richard James Savile Row to work today, a really lovely fragrance, has a kind of honey feel to it in the drydown and lasts a long time.

Roses are great, often not particularly sweet at all. In this vein...
Sonoma Scent Studio's Vintage Rose
Eau d'Italie's Paestum Rose
Creed's Fleurs de Bulgarie
Penhaglion's Elixir
Serge Lutens Rose de Nuit
Montale's Black Aoud
Finding drier white florals is trickier. These, none the less, fit the bill to varying degrees:
Neil Morris' Gandhara
Serge Lutens' A La Nuit ( and very similar, Saffron James's Nani )
Parfums DelRae's Amoureuse
I'll second the suggestion of Eau d'Italie's Magnolia Romana, a very dry, smoky-spicy, aquatic magnolia.

Paris Hilton for men (most consider this more a citrus frag, but I get more flower from it)

Women's Rive Gauche. May be too sweet though. Otherwise, Y by YSL.
If fragrance has a gender, so does all art.
+1 for Givenchy Insensé and Kenzo Power. Ténéré is also interesting but more on the darker side.
fleur du male by jean paul
issey myake pour homme
the dreamer by versace
Not too sweet florals for men could include: Aramis 900, Hermes Equipage, Amouage Lyric Man, Montale Black Aoud, Givenchy Insense, Hugh Parsons 99 Regent Street.
Something that doesn't get much love, but I like it when the time is right:
Ungarro Apparition
Oh and how could I forget Hermes' glorious Hiris? A dry, austere but very unisex Iris fragrance very wearable by a man (I should know I wear it enough lol)

You should most certainly check this out:
Guerlain Vetiver pour elle

Caron Third Man

I Agree with Le 3eme Homme de Caron. Also Carnal Flower by Frederic Malle - A Heady Tuberose but very green upfront.
Acqua di Parma ia a great floral unisex eau de cologne

Caron Le Troiseme Homme
Hermes Equipage
Richard James EDT
Taylor of Old Bond Street No. 74 Original
MPG Jardin du Nil
Sold for women:

Definitely give Clive Christian No. 1 a try. I love it.
I really love Le Troisičme Homme, but many consider it a bit sweet, and he said he wanted a floral that wasn't sweet... that's why I didn't suggest it...
I've got to triple on those two.
Further, Diptyque's Ofresia is blissful, and I find Diptyque's Olene fantastic too, but friends on this forum have thought it tended more to feminine than I think it does so you'll have to make up your own mind about that. Friends who've smelled it on me have thought it just a beautiful floral milled soap smell.
That girl, that bottle, that mattress and me.
Fleur du Male (if you have the cojones)
Kenzo Power
The Dreamer
A trio of wonderful iris masculines of very different character:
Dior Homme--elegant, a bit rooty but nicely rounded with mild sweetness.
Divine L'Homme de Coeur--a great juniper opening, very fresh and restrained the whole ride.
MPG Iris Bleue Gris--a dirty, rooty, green beast of an iris. Very different than most iris frags and very masculine.
Arpege Pour Homme lalyered with Hermes Hiris. Quite the Iris experience.
Amouage Homage
FM Carnal Flower
Tom Ford (not too sweet, but quite gourmand)

Grey Flannel
You might want to try Tabac Original EDC, and perhaps also Royal Copenhagen.
plus Caron Third man
I second matthewfoo & Galamb_Borong on the Paestum Rose (by Eau d'Italie).
My favorite unisex/borderline femme florals:
Maitre Bois Du Turquie
Amouage Homage
Czech & Speake no. 88
My favorite florals which are not too sweet and definitely not feminine, but unisex:
Windsor
Prelude to Love
Castile
and my favorite masculine florals:
Green Irish Tweed
Kiton Black
Maitre Pour Le Jeune Homme
Oh, and if you want not sweet at all, an excellent yet very conservative and cold/aloof masculine floral:
Maitres Tailleurs L'Eau Du Tailleur
Givenchy Insense
If roses are your thing there's Noir de Noir by Tom Ford. Very strong potent rose perfume that I would classify more as a woman's fragrance but a confident man can pull it off without doubt. For some reason it reminds me of Burberry.
+1 Montale Black Aoud. +1 C&S No 88. +1 FM Carnal Flower.
John Varvatos Artisan, a masculine floral with a wood base.

This is great. I was looking for some suggestions for masculine iris scents.

Another vote for Carnal Flower. l've yet to smell this on a man, but l reckon it'd be gorgeous!

This may sound a bit odd, but Encre Noire pour Elle is a floral that is going to get lots of wear from me. A beautiful rose and osmanthus frag that has top notes which reminds me so much of Amouage Lyric Man. It dries down giving off a mellow rosy hand-cream-ish accord which i guess is a result of the understated earthy vetiver. Not sweet in any way, but neutrally floral. Amazing longevity too.
ointments and perfume delight the heart....
