    Default Salicylic Acid Daily ?

I understand the benefits of salicylic acid for the face but do I need to use a product with salicylic acid on a daily basis ? I'm asking this because I am getting sick and tired of using toners and astringents as they don't seem to do much for my skin. However these toners/astringents contain salicylic acid and my other skin care products (cleanser and moisturizer) don't. Both my clay mask and face scrub that I use twice a week do contain salicylic acid. So would it suffice just to use products containing salicylic acid twice a week ?

Other than the usual skin care routine of cleansing and moisturizing, I do use Avene Diacneal (6% Gylcolic Acid and 0.1% Retinaldehyde C.T) every night for the occasional breakouts and acne scars. Just recently I have started using the Avene Thermal Spring Water spray after cleansing and shaving. Once a week I use an aspirin mask.

    Please advise.

One last time. Please. Try this for three months.

    AM:

    Cleanse
    Shave
    Paula's Choice 2% BHA Liquid http://www.paulaschoice.com.my/produ...products_id=62
    Anti-oxidant / serum
    Sunscreen SPF 30+

    PM:

    Cleanse
    Paula's Choice 2% BHA Liquid
    Retinol product (as required)
    Anti-oxidant / serum
    Moisturise

Stop: The scubbing, the masks, the toner, the astringents, and anything else.

I tried it before last year and your HG that is Paula's Choice didn't work at all and in fact made my face worst...Satisfied ?

I am starting to think you work for Paula. Her products may work for you but everyone's skin is different YMMV. I asked for advise not product recommendations. Thank you.

    JoNnY4,

I certainly haven't seen any post on your use of the BHA Liquid. Since you feel that made your face worse, then I suggest you stop the Salicylic Acid now, because Salicylic Acid = BHA.

My very best wishes for a quantam leap in your circumstances now.

Yes I am very aware that BHA = Salicylic Acid and AHA = Glycolic Acid.

I don't think it's the salicylic acid but something in her products. Since then I have used astringents and other products with salicylic acid and suffered no bad reactions.

    Thank you.
