Default Need a lighter Patchouli scent

I have tried the Hermes Mediterra suggested, its a bit too strong, anything like that a bit lighter with a bit of floral or citrus?

    True Religion is not it

    thanks in advance

The two frags I think of are L'Artisan's Patchouli Patch which has a lovely, subtle immortelle note and Etro's Patchouly, which has a sort of herbal, tabac blond character.

    Try Balmain de Balmain--diaphanous patchouli.

Have you tried ELdO's Nombril Immense ? Patchouli lifted by incense - very wearable in warmer weather.

Divine - L'Inspiratrice is a fun one to try. http://www.luckyscent.com/shop/secti...piratrice.html
Also the first Prada for her in the pink box.

Coromandel from Chanel Les Exclusifs is a beautiful and quite subtle take on patchouli.

Molinard's Patchouli is a straight up patchouli but it is lighter and more airy in feel.

Etro's is very similar to the fabulous L'Lartisan Patchouli which they discontinued to bring out the Patch. They have a citrus note in the opening which cuts the heavy feel of the patchouli.

I second Nombril Immense. It's just starting to get hot here in LA again and I'm LOVING it. It's light-wearing like a cologne, but long-wearing. A nice, pleasant patchouli scent, not too spicy or vegetal or earthy or animalic. It's just perfect.

I'll second this nomination. My Wife has been wearing this regularly since it first came out. It sems the public is enamored with Coromandel. She can't go any where without someone asking her what shes wearing.

Seconding Coromandel, and adding another L'Artisan: Voleur de Roses. This is as much if not more about patchouli as about roses, to my nose.

I just got this, I like it, I cannot figure what ingredient that is in it, that I like, but you hit the nail on the head as to something I would like. I think there is something similar in this that is in Lauren classic, am I right?

I am still searching for my certain Patchouli scent

    Thanks, much appreciated..

Thanks for your help, I have tried it, I would have liked it but something in it is too overpowering, I'm still learning.

Cacharel's Liberte is a citrus-patchouli scent, well suited to summer wear and inexpensive.

Keiko Mecheri Patchoulissime is the prettiest patchouli I've ever tried. A Basenoter sent me a sample, and I love it.

Ineke's Fieldnotes from Paris? This has some patchouli, I think...

I thank all of you for your help, I have sampled
    Esteban Patchouli
    Demeter patchouli
    L'Artisan Patchouli Patch
    Keiko Mecheri Patchouli

The Esteban Patchouli is the one I love and will wear.
The Demeter does not last with me
The L'Artisan is nice but has a softness to it something similar to baby powder (sorry I don't know what ingredient it is)
The Keiko patchouli has a softness also, all and all the Esteban is more like me.
The L'Artisan and Keiko smell wonderful and I would suggest them if you like that hint of softness.
The Keiko did not stay with me.
The Demeter I would not recommend, has no staying power, with me anyway and for the price its not worth the money.

Now let me see what else you guys recommended.

    Thanks again

Wink Re: Need a lighter Patchouli scent

ok, these I will try next

Noir Patchouli by Histoires de Parfums.
    L'Artisan: Voleur de Roses
Cacharel's Liberte I may be able to catch this one for less on ebay
    Ineke's Fieldnotes
    Coromandel
    Nombril Immense
Molinard's Patchouli at times ebay can have this for less, but I don't have the time to check every day.
Is that one Etro or Eldo's ?

    Thanks again
