Thread: Best Lacoste?
Strictly on warm summer days, Essential is my fave
Lacoste Original is the only one I wear.
I'd really like to see another scent come from these guys. One of the best designer fragrance makers for sure.
Oh yes! We talked about them the other day and I'd already forgot about it.
I have yet to try it, but from the reviews I'm quite saddened. Maybe they will release some more awesomeness soon.
In first place, Lacoste pour homme (grey bottle) followed by Lacoste (original).
Essential isn't really my cup of tea and although Challenge isn't bad, It's so common it hurts...
Essential is quite nice. A very green and inoffensive scent. Perfect for the really hot days of the summer.
Asking for the best Lacoste is like asking for the healthiest burger at McDonald's.
Is Lacoste Original actually still available?
I saw it in a Berlin department store earlier this year, but now - nothing. Not in shops, not online, not in duty free...

Lacoste Cool Play...if you can find it...great projection and longevity, even in hot summer days
"I love fragrances because they provide a sheer endless variety: there is a scent for every occasion, mood or feeling. Standing before my collection in the morning matching a perfume to my needs is one of the most enjoyable things in my day"...I don't want to miss that...

Lacoste Original for me.
I started my frag journey many years back with Lacoste frags -- the first frag I finished was a tall green bottle of Lacoste Eau de Sport Vivifiante (launched in '94 I think, most here have prolly never seen it) -- I still have fond memories of it, the closest to it might be Lacoste Original. I've owned and finished Lacoste 2000 also. Not really keen on the house's other releases except for L.12.12 Blanc and Essential Sport (the latter being a sillage bomb, which I liked, but haven't pulled the trigger yet for a full-bottle).
Booster is my favourite. I love the natural eucalyptus in it.
Second best for me is the original Laoste. A simple but gorgeous soapy lemon.

Essential is easy to recommend. It's on my list of maybes for next summer. L.12.12 Blanc is one I'm kind of fascinated by. Something about it keeps me coming back to sample again even though it's not the kind of scent I go for.

None of them are good.
L.12.12 Green is nuetral; the rest are quite bad
I like the Tomato Leaf in this one
Original post was like "you're not the only muppet".. I totally forgot.. this was when BN turned all of our avatars into Muppets for April Fool's! LOL I thought I got hacked or something.
Now since being more experienced with their line. I have tried:
Lacoste pour Homme
Style in Play
I do own Elegance, and absolutely love it. Very underrated stuff.
I find Lacoste pour Homme, Essential, Style in Play, and Booster to be ok, not bottle worthy unless at a low enough price.
The rest of them are bad, Essential Sport opened up nice, but dries down very bad and chemical smelling. Challenege's record speaks for itself I think.. total waste of alcohol, glass, and atomizers lol.
Not too much left of this house for me.. Wouldn't mind trying Cool Play, and the rarely spoken of Hot Play. I might get samples of the rest of the L.12.12 line, next time I am at Sephora.
My Ultimate Top 5:
Paul Smith Man (2009)
Burberry London (2006)
Prada Amber pour Homme (2006)
Arpege pour Homme (2005)
Elegance is a real good stuff and I love it. Highly underrated and hard to find.
I tried all from the new L12.12 line and only found the Blanc (White) one better than the others. Bought it as the salesman pushed it too hard and gave it a at a good price along with a couple of Shower Gels (250 ML Blanc & Challenge), few sample vials and a complimentary Laptop Bag from Lacoste. But now I find it very loud and overpowering. I never spray it twice. Just one spray is enough for the whole day. I never fades..never. Very high on silage and AWESOME longevity.
Essential but don't find any worth owning.
Is the juice worth the squeeze?
