Default Luckyscent.com SAMPLE ORDER, any comments

    Hey guys,

I started to like niche frags since i smelled Musc Ravageur. It blew me away !!! I've tested quite a few niche frags, too many to list here ! But i like Black Aoud, MR, Parfum d'Habit, New York, Amouage Gold Men ...

So this is what im gonna order @ Luckyscent, what do you guys think ?? I like Amber, Vetiver(except Guerlain's) and some Patchouli(Borneo but its too light).

Any Suggestion for other niche i should test ?

If you like vetiver and amber, then Bois1920 Vetiver Ambrato is a must try.

You should branch out with your Amouage selections. I'd get something more inherently summery from them, like Reflection Man. There's a nice slightly powdery vetiver note to the drydown of this (I noticed you are looking at a lot of vetiver oriented scents). Lyric Man is also a must sniff if you like rose even slightly. I'd heartily recommend Ciel Man too, but Luckyscent doesn't carry it.

From MPG I'd also recommend checking out Bois de Turquie - it's somewhat in the vein of say XXV although less incensey and more ethereal/light. Much better for warmer temps. You've got a vetiver masterpiece in Route du Vetiver (although I don't like the new formulation as much), but you should also check out MPG's other vetiver masterpiece - Racine. I think it's the best all purpose vetiver and think it easily trumps say, Guerlain Vetiver. It's a perfect blend of citrus and vetiver.

Comment: First in Fragrance are more generous with samples and uses small 'sprays' instead of vials, but they stock different items from LS. Still, worth checking them out!

Looks to me like a carefull considered list. I'm a big fan of L'Ombre Fauve. Be interesting to see you favorite of the Amouage line.

If you like strong patchouli, strap your self down for Mazz Lui.

Is it strong though? I read somewhere the longevity sucks. i Like strong, long lasting and gud sillage frags.

Lyric - i can hardly smell any rose in it Somehow it isnt my type.
Reflection - is it that good ? Is it better than gold men (in ur opinion of course )

How big are their samples, the prices are a bit higer than LS though. Plus they dont accept paypal do they ?
Homage - out of my price range
    Red/White Aoud - i already tested them, i have RA 20ml bottle.
MKK - I have it in my wardrobe
Amber Sultan - i tested it, not really into the spice part of this.
Bois de Violette - i can test SL nearby my place, so no point getting samples of this line

It is weak, or its just my skin :P Disappear in like an hour or 2. First dab (yes i dabbed it on at the counter) wasnt that strong, a light , smooth, silky patchouli (chocolate)

A, Cuir Ottoman from Parfum d'Empire is worth checking out...

I know you hate stuff that don't last long enough, but Felanilla (PG) is worth a sniff, still! (I'd compare its sillage and longevity similarly to MKK - very average, skin-scent-type)

    Crazy sample list, btw!
