I'm telling Mitsouko.
It has been a while now since last my memory was refreshed as to the etherial, other worldly beauty of Chamade EDP. There are few fragrances out there that, to me, command a deep and abiding respect; Chamade is such a fragrance. The EDT is very nice but the EDP is breath taking; the two layered; a work of art. Chamade is my SOTD and I will revisit this fragrance more often.

I'm telling Mitsouko.
She will be displeased.
(LOL) OK, ladies and gentlemen. Mitsouko is still my main squeeze. I have not, nor shall I abandon her.

Poor Chamade, just when she thought y'all had a good thing going....
I'm with you, Tesla, I always alternate between Mitsouko and Chamade when trying to say which Guerlain is THE most godly, the most ambrosiac, the most stunning. When I wear one, I say "this is IT", when I wear the other, I say "No, THIS is it"... Mmmm so spoiled we are!
This thread is so so appropriate.
I just tried Chamade parfum extrait- a lovely sample gifted to me by Haunani - bless her soul! *HUG*
As I said in my review- Sweet Holy Mother ! The scent of heaven - ambrosia indeed. I am in love with it. The opening on my skin ,nearly caused me to fall over my suitcases - still not totally unpacked from my long trip .

So many to love knit_at_nite ! I am totally polygamous ! Like N_Tesla !
Mitsouko - I can't help it- it smells of me whether I like it or not because I used it for so long. It's a long term marriage. Vol de Nuit is my bit on the side and Chamade now is my 'affair of the moment " ! As the song goes from 'French Affair' .......
Oh, mon amour (Oh, my love)
Laisse-moi te toucher (Let me touch you) *GRIN*
Tesla, ever since I blind-bought Barbara Bui based on your recommendation, you've been a big influence on me! (as are several other savvy basenoters.)
So, I was a Neimans yesterday (hate to go there but was getting the Jo Malone 5 bottle set for my mother-in-law's bday) and, due to this thread, had the nice SA make me a Chamade sample. It's on my wrist this morning... niiiice... (I'm pretty much a Guerlain virgin -- also tried Mitsouko and L'heure Bleue yesterday for the FIRST time. )
C Rose; I am so happy that you have enjoyed some my favorite fragrances. Occasionally one finds a jewel like Barbara Bui's Le Parfum which, I think is underappreciated. The Classics from Guerlain are so well crafted as to survive the test of time. If you have not tried Chant D'Aromes it is another very nice Guerlain.
