Default What's Your Most Loudest And Boldest Fragrance?

We all learn the lesson not to over apply a scent pretty much early on in our fragrance hobby but their are scent's that not only are they strong but project way to much.

My boldest and most loudest fragrance has to go to Musc Ravageur, the sillage on this from one spray could be used for fumigation purposes. lol

When I first got my sample I sprayed it three times onto myself and went out. At the bank and grocery store people were holding their noses and coughing and stepping away from me. Lol And still even now with just one shot to the chest it projects especially when its hot or you are in a enclosed space. I just wish there was a less potent version of the scent.

What's your most loudest and bold fragrance that requires a steady hand in the application?

For me it's easily Olivier Durbano's Jade. It's ridiculous. The first time I ever wore it I applied it and then got in the car to go somewhere. It was so potent in the car that it was like it made the air thick. I kind of got a headache and even started sweating because I was having a hard time breathing. Then, the sweating increased the potency even more and I thought I was going to pass-out. Crazy. Needless to say, my decant has nary been touched again.

Probably Joop! Homme. I like it, but even one spritz begins to tire me out after a while.

It would have to be Kouros (one spray seems to be more than enough) or perhaps even Fleur Du Male. Lots of people tell me it's extremely strong, even when I'm not aware I'm wearing it.

Guilty as charged. I love it the first time I tried it but it's too strong to make the 100ml tester full bottle worthy. And I've been looking for a deal on Eau de Campagne so when Dimi offered both, I'd be a fool not to grab it... And you know I'd rather be a bandit than a fool.

Sex Panther by Odeon. It's illegal in 9 countries. It's quite pungent, but 60 percent of the time it works, every time. It's made with bits of real panther. It smells like a used diaper filled with Indian food. Or a turd covered in burnt hair.

Come on, somebody had to do the joke ; )

2.)Cerruti 1881 Black, JPG Le Male, YSL M7, Azzaro PH
3.) Zino by Zino Davidoff, YSL Body Kouros, Hugo Boss Dark Blue

Of course quite a deal in my collection of scents-are quite loud on me. I have such skin on wich even the light aquatics have a decent projection.

As I understand it, Dimi's was vintage, as in 1996 first edition EdP,
the newer juice is quite a bit milder! Too bad, I like it strong!

All of these reactions I'm talking about the times I HAVE NOT over-applied:
    CDG Avignon:
At work: "Do you smell something burning in here?"
At work again, at the opening of sacral-themed exhibition: One of the colleagues: "The curator said he might bring some incense to burn for real "churchy" atmosphere. Oh, he lit it up already, can you smell it?!" Needles to say, the curator never brought or burned any incense...
At a pub, one of my friends leans closer: "Oh my God, what are you doing, exorcising demons?!"
But my mom thinks I smell lovely.

    LUSH Icon:
At work, people sitting three metres away: "I can really smell the lavender in that perfume of yours." "Yeah, and is there patchouli too?"
At work: "You're wearing some really nice perfume!"
At work, outside, three of us are having a cigarette break, one says: "What smells like moth repellent around here, I've been smelling it all morning?" "It's meeee...."
I meet the friend who accused me of exorcising demons: "You're wearing alot of incense again, are you?" He sniffs a bit more... "Oh, this one's even better, do you have it with you? You do? Can I spray myself, I'm going to the theatre later?" So he sprays himself and off he goes to meet another friend, who tells him smells great. The three of us meet later in a pub, and she asks if she can have some. Yes she can. Another friends comes along and exclaim that the whole bunch of us smell like prostitutes!

Fahrenheit will always be my ideal loudest and boldest fragrance, this is what I wear when I really wanna make an impression, but then again I wear it frequently so what comes off as bold to those around me is just normal for me -- although it is fit for the answer, there are even bolder ones that I own that I don't frequent as much such as B*Men and, Zero Plus and Cigar by Remy Latour.

Ah, Coriolan (L'Ame d'un Héros): I would wear this to any office without hesitation, and I never received any adverse signals when I did (as I might have wearing Antaeus, Kouros, Boss 1, Fleur du Male or G.I.T.). But then, acceptability/wearability of fragrances not only depends on gender and age, but to a great extent also on the society you happen to be part of.

All in all Europe seems to be more fragrant curious and tolerant it seems. However, in urban USA I found myself regularly surrounded by more fragrances than at any place I have lived at, or visited, in Europe. Not bad ones, I found, but with the strength of smells from a few ordinary body care and skin products alone, I wonder why American males feel a need for additional colognes at all ?

Although, for some reason Hugo Boss has some extreme sillage on me. It's really intense. With just one spray UNDER my shirt, people can still smell it completely across small rooms for hours.

Among the ones coming to mind:

Loudest: Bogart pH, Joop!, YSL's Rive Gauche, Ô de Lancôme pour Homme, Kiehl's Musk, R&G L'Homme (vintage), VC&A (new), B*Men, a local version of Le Mâle which is very honest to its alter ego, a local woody oriental sharing Davidoff's Zino basenotes but with top notes with mint, patchouly essential oil.

Boldest: Vintage Quorum, Azzaro's Acteur, YSL's Kouros.
