    Default Aquae Nobilis by Profumum

I'd love to hear comments from those of you who've smelled this. I remember reading several short posts on another Profumum thread, but I wanted to devote this thread to just comments on this particular one.

It's being compared to Victrix by some (which I love, but do not own).

I'll second the wish-list for comments on this. I too love Victrix.

I like Aquae Nobilis better than Victrix. It is less assertive. I get a sharp blast of green vetiver in the opening. It then mellows and sweetens a little. I detect the geranium slightly and the drydown is nice and musky. The pepper that I get in Victrix is completely absent. It is definitely worth a try.

I finally got a chance to sample this (thanks NEoTY26).

The vetiver note in this, is very pure unadulterated (sort of like a Fumidus - light) but is brought forth in a refreshing and aromatic way with the minty geranium and absinthe. The combination of the three gives it a minty, watery feel - I had to resist the temptation to splash this on my face.

If you like the raw, weedy sort of vetiver that Fumidus has, but always wanted something a bit lighter please try this one. So should fans of geranium notes.

The only drawback is, of course, the stupid expensive price.

Oh and I don't think it's similar to Victrix at all.

Anyone else give this a try since it was released?

I have, Mike. I much prefer Victrix. I think the geranium mixed with the vetiver doesn't quite work for me. The last new Profumum I loved was the wonderful Arso, but I keep sampling the new ones anyway, because Profumum does hit an occasional home run. I enjoy all four of the ones I own (Fumidus, Arso, Thundra, and Victrix).
