Definitely get a refund and buy elsewhere!
I purchased L'Instant de Guerlain from Amazon.com. It was sold by Amazon and not some random seller. I received the package today and I noticed that there was no plastic wrap on the box. Once I opened the box, I immediately sprayed. To my surprise it sprayed immediately. I did not have to pump it. I then called amazon customer service and they offered me to send back for a full refund or 20% off which was $12 off. I took the $12 refund and didn't think twice about it. I just got home for the evening and noticed that on the bottom of the bottle, the sticker label is there, but part of it is gone. It's the bottom left corner right below where it says 125ml, possible where the serial number would be; as if somebody use a sharp razor to rid it. Should I just send it back and get a refund and buy elsewhere, or what? I'm lost as to what to do!!! I have never had a problem with Amazon.com before and I order from them ALOT. PLEASE HELP!!!!
So... it may have been tested. How did it smell, and was it 99.? percent full?
And L'Instant de Guerlain, or L'Instant...Pour Homme?
If it doesn't last long that's typical.
I doubt it's a knockoff, straight from Amazon...
Otherwise, if you are not satisfied, return for refund.

If you're not completely satisfied and will bother you, return it.
Grey market. Perhaps the juice is fine. Luckily, all my bottles have the batch number intact. Having said that, just return if you didn't like it.

If you can't get over your suspicions, I'd second the 'peace of mind' option. Return it for a refund. Like what I did with my recent Chergui purchase... It's miles better than having a bottle of something you're uncertain about in your wardrobe...
Refund time. Big time.
Thanks for all your responses guys! I really appreciate it. Well, after thinking about it all night, I had decided to keep it. Well I go to use it before I head to work, and I noticed that there is crap floating in the cologne. At that point, I IMMEDIATELY called amazon and the CS guy said they actually received new stock and he would ship me another bottle at no charge. He requested that I dispose the other bottle, in which I will do once I return home this evening after work. Hopefully all is well with the new bottle, if not, I will get a refund.
LoL, misleading thread title ..
By extension, "dud" has become a slang word for anything that does not work or is defective.
