    Default Seasonal Characteristics

What do you look for in a summer scent as opposed to a winter scent? What general characteristics would you look for in something intended for winter and aummer? Does one also select for Spring and fall? If so, what would you want in those fragrences as well?

    Spring- Citrus, Aquatics
    Winter- Woods, Musk, Gourmand
    Spring- Green, Flowery
    Fall- Woods, Vanilla, Gourmand

It's a tricky subject. I'd say that the actual weather has a lot to do with it as well. What about a hot spring day? A cold summer morning? Rainy, Snow, Windy? I'd say lighter scents for hot days, and bolder, stronger scents for colder days.

Thanks for the help. You have Spring twice and missed Summer.

Oops, sorry. I meant to say Summer-Citrus, Aquatics. I definitely want to wear some of my citrus frags this summer, like Chrome and Paris Hilton. Also, I got some samples of Marc Ecko that should smell great this summer as well, with the citrus accords. I'll try to mix in my aquatics as well, like Acqua di Gio, Nautica Oceans, Cool Water Frozen, and Givenchy Blue Label.

I'm not as strict as I used to be about separating my scents seasonally. However, I do tend to crave lighter, more refreshing ones in warmer weather. This means citrus and especially vetiver for me. No aquatics.
Cooler weather scents for me would have vanilla, heavier woods and spices, and amber.
This being said, every now and then I enjoy the opposite of those in different weather conditions.
