Default Does spraying perfume on your clothes stain them?

I've heard this a couple times. I spray perfume on my clothes so they last longer and they haven't been stained...yet. I just wanted to know if this is true. Thank you

    Careful with white cotton shirts.

It's common logic: deeply coloured fragrances are more likely to stain than lighter ones. If the sprayer diffuses the scent as a fine mist it is less likely to stain, since the liquid is spread out more.

And yes, white cotton and linen will really bring out and highlight any kind of stain.

I guess I've been wearing dark clothes with light colored perfumes and that's why I don't see any stains. But I'll be sure to be careful when I'm wearing white. Thank you both, I appreciate it

Joop and Gucci nobile stained my clothes in the past (white tees). I used to spray it right on to my shirt, now I spray holding my arm further out pointing the atomizer at me and I walk into the mist shirtless.

I was watching Keresene do a video on Youtube for Dirty English. He showed the warning on the box that said not to spray on clothing. It's a rather dark orange colored frag.

I have never sprayed on clothing - I see no reason to.

I often spray a fragrance on my chest, and then allow some of the juice to soak into the underside of my shirt. Not only is the longevity of the fragrance tremendously increased, it hasn't stained any clothing so far. I can see though that some particularly dark frags might stain clothing.

The worst case of stains caused by flagrance occurred so far on cotton button-down shirts and on suits, but luckily the stains disappeared from the shirts after the next washing and from the suits thanks to dry-cleanings

Walking through a mist of fragrance is unlikely to leave visible stains on your clothes. Just do not spray directly esp. if the fabric is white or light-colored.
