Thread: Refined Poll

    Default Refined Poll

I have chosen only those houses which gathered either 14 or more votes in our previous poll and added quite a few that we missed earlier. only difference! this time we can choose only one !! Who'd be the winner!!???

For wearability and dynamism (in other words, the frags don't become boring quickly), I'd choose Guerlain without a second thought (I'll also mention that I'm assuming I can wear some of the women's frags, such as Shalimar Light).

I voted for Parfumerie Generale. the pace at which PG is churning out masterpieces is beyond me. L'ombre, Cadjmere, Querelle & Corp et Ames has had me gasping for more...and there's yet so many more for me to try from this line.

close second is Serge Lutens. sorry serge

Serge Lutens is still my choice, despite more of my favorite houses appearing this time.

I chose Guerlain for one simple reason; I adore their masculine fragrances just as much as their feminine ones. I feel scents such as; Derby, Heritage, Habit Rouge, etc...are just as well, if not better, crafted as the feminine scents. I adore dousing myself in Mouchoir de Monsieur as much, if not more than Shalimar.

I feel they have lost their way a little over the past few years, but will hopefully find it again.

    I chose Guerlain as well.

It don't think it would have changed my vote but I would like to have had the opportunity to vote for the full house of Chanel rather than just Les Exclusifs. Antaeus, Egoiste and Chanel pour Monsieur are three of my favorites. There are many Platinum Egoiste and CPM Concentree lovers here as well.

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood, and sorry I could not travel both and be one traveler, long I stood and looked down one as far as I could to where it bent in the undergrowth; Then took the other, as just as fair, ...... I shall be telling this with a sigh somewhere ages and ages hence: Two roads diverged in a wood, and I -- I took the one less traveled by, and that has made all the difference. - Robert Frost

    Guerlain.

The way you framed the question this time is different than last time and thus Guerlain will almost certainly dominate.

this is cruel. i spent about ten minutes switching the bullet back and forth before hitting the vote button. I ended up settling on Tom Ford Private blends for thier artistry, luxury, and connection to traditional perfumery.

Yes. It is annoying that you feel the need to resurrect every thread that has a poll since the beginning of basenotes.

I noticed that the MFD turned the clock back a few years last night due to several out of date threads being resuscitated! Let's perhaps be attentive to the dates / content when bumping old threads as several that were bumped back to the top of the forum tonight contain polls for scents that were discontinued years ago.

I know you mods already have your hands full, but is there any way to undo all the necros from tonight? One poster single handedly pushed every (previously) current thread back an entire page and a half.

I noticed. I don't think there's much we can do now, but I'll look into it.
