Exclamation The Comfort and Sleep Fragrance Prescription.

While I have lauded the comfort and sleep fragrance of Le Parfum by Barbara Bui, and still do, I have found yet another that really works for me. It is warm and wafts of slightly burnt caramel, hazelnut and licorice; it is Aomassai from Perfumerie Generale. I had tried it and liked it before but, till recently not tried it as a comfort/sleep fragrance. This gourmande works better for me than warm milk and sleep medication, and when you awake there it is to greet you into the next day. Marvelous what scent can do. Hope you give a try and report back. By the way it is over the counter, no prescription required.

It's beautifull stuff...It might be my next bottle...I've been using a sample...It's very comforting.

I don't know if this counts, but...this has lavender in it.

They're cheap pleasures, but Chantilly and B&BW's Moonlight Path are snuggly, powdery, olfactory blankies. Very relaxing at bed time.

I love Aomassai, but I think it might give me weird dreams. I seem to like the simpler ambers or lavenders for bedtime.

Sounds nice, though I'm not sure about the licorice.

My favorite slumber scent is Bulgari's Blu Notte. A combination of ginger, dark cocoa, and Johnson's Baby Cream. Weird, but it works.

I'm afraid I couldn't do the licorice either.

I feel like I'm floating on sweet, fluffy clouds when I use Pink Sugar at bedtime. It makes me smile and I have no trouble drifting off.

A close second is Vera Wang's Princess. Soft, warm and sweet. Pure comfort in a bottle.

I just use a little lavender essential oil, or a crushed lavender flower on my hands and arms sometimes. This seems to do the trick. Using a sachet of lavender under the pillow is also an old folk remedy to induce sleep.

Hmm, I wonder if I could use sleep-induction as an excuse for buying Caron Pour un Homme?
