Default Bois Naufragé by Parfumerie Generale

Who's smelled this? What did you think about it?

I read the review of it on Now Smell This yesterday and it sounds very sweet and fig prominent.

I got a preview sample and reviewed it.
My experience was very different from Kevin's on NST.
I definitely got the salt and the driftwood smell that Kevin did not apraently get.
I know of two others who have worn this and one feels like Kevin that it is sweet on them and one seems to have had a similar experience to me.
My impression was of sun-baked skin and bleached driftwood which imparts a slight woodiness.
It took me quite a bit of time to figure out how I felt about it and I think this is what I would call an editorial piece of perfumery over a commercial piece.
What I mean is Pierre Guillaume was inspired by a black and white photograph by Lucien Clergue and labored to create a fragrance that would smell like that picture. In my opinion he has succeeded and that makes Bois Naufrage spectacularly interesting if not necessarily spectacularly wearable.

I tried it last week at ScentBar and I just got the sweet and fig, I didn't get any salt or woody notes, I sprayed my wrist like 6 times and on my skin and sillage was really modest and longevity was poor.

It was only OK. But then again, I don't really dig PG scents.

    Sounds weird.

Haha, I love you, Mike. Not LOVE love - you know what I mean!
I regret not spraying this on my skin during a recent trip to Scent Bar - the saltiness intrigues me. I sprayed it on paper and it conjured a sweet-woody impression. The sweet must've come from the fig, but it didn't seem terribly sweet - it could be on skin... Not much help, I know - just sharing my initial impression.
