I got a preview sample and reviewed it.
My experience was very different from Kevin's on NST.
I definitely got the salt and the driftwood smell that Kevin did not apraently get.
I know of two others who have worn this and one feels like Kevin that it is sweet on them and one seems to have had a similar experience to me.
My impression was of sun-baked skin and bleached driftwood which imparts a slight woodiness.
It took me quite a bit of time to figure out how I felt about it and I think this is what I would call an editorial piece of perfumery over a commercial piece.
What I mean is Pierre Guillaume was inspired by a black and white photograph by Lucien Clergue and labored to create a fragrance that would smell like that picture. In my opinion he has succeeded and that makes Bois Naufrage spectacularly interesting if not necessarily spectacularly wearable.
