    Default John Varvatos Artisan Black?

Did any one get a chance to try it?

i personaly thought it is much nicer then the regular Artisan.

It is more masculine, and i found it to have some minor sweet notes.
Its a lot more of a fragrance you wear on a nice summer evening

Smells like yicky orange dish detergent to me.

It was better than the original in my opinion. Just a touch more depth. Not bottle worthy in my opinion due to the still weak longevity. Until JV fixes that issue I won't own any full bottles of his line.

I tried it a few weeks ago, I didn't think it was all that much different from the original. I already have the original, so I won't be picking up this one.

its definitely not that much different then the original, so if you already got the original it would be pointless to buy.

It is slightly less horrible than the original Artisan IMO.

It's... different from the original. I have a lot of leathery / woodsey scents in my collection, so artisan fits better for me. I do like it, but the wood notes take it a bit too far out of the "summer" range for me.
