    Default A Challenge?

I remember reading a thread a while back where one of our fellow members planned to wear the same fragrance every day for a month (Mugler Cologne). To some, that would probably be no big deal, but to a "normal" Basenoter, well that's another story. I don't think he ever posted back if he was successful or not.

I had another "challenge" pop into my head yesterday. This one will likely apply to those with wardrobes in the 30-50 range (like mine). It may be nearly impossible if you have fewer than 30 fragrance, and too easy if you have more than 50.

Anyway, here's the challenge. In one month could you wear a different fragrance every day without repeating any of them?

I have at least 30 fragrances I like (but not that many I love), so this sounds simple and easy when you first think about it. But I think the challenging part would be not giving into the temptation to wear the few favorites from your regular rotation again after wearing them once.

Have any of you done this? If you were to do it, would you wear your favorite(s) early? Spread them out through the month? Or save them until the end? Anyone up to the "challenge"?

I certainly think that the different frag challenge would actually be more feasible than wearing the same one for
30 days straight for most basenoters. Especially in the warmer months, when all the citrus and aquatic frags
would come into play, plus your vetivers, and your...........

Heh. I could prolly do this. I downsized my collection recently, but I have dozens of samples I could use.

Exactly! No problem, although I sometimes enjoy continuing an entirely pleasant and matching wearing over another 1-2 days, if I feel like it.

The only reason I wouldn't wear a different frag each day (in fact, one in the morning and one for the evening) is that I sometimes will wear a recently acquired one twice within the space of about a week because I want to make sure I understand it.

I could go for three months with a diferent frag every day,
I have some 96 fragrances as of today ... and counting!

Lol! I usually DO wear a different fragrance everyday! For example, each month I usually wear two fragrances a day and at the end of the month, I see that I probably wore a couple only twice out of 50 or 60!

I have enough frags to go a month with a different one every day for sure, and I really, truly like almost every one, but I think the challenge is could I wear a different one every day with no repeats.

No way for me. There are always a couple of frags on my mind that I'll wear a few times each month.

Gosh, I have enough to wear a different one each day for almost three years. I'd have no problem doing this.

I've done this every month for the past couple of years...

Only here at BN does that not come off as utterly freaky.

Actually, I've been thinking of writing a program to help me rotating my wardrobe of 100+ scents. However, the bigger problem may be that not all scents in my wardrobe are versatile enough for my daily activities (and the tropical climate we have here).

I could but I don't want to. I want to maintain a sort of 'intimate relationship' with some of my favorites. I'd love to get down to a regular rotation of maybe 7 fragrances, and then have say 23 'once in a while' scents.
