Default Aedes de Venustas or Amouage Jubilation XXV

Trying to decide. Which one and why?
Also, I am open to additional suggestions.

I have not smelled Venustas, but I LOVE Jubilation.

I've been pondering this same question just recently. I love Jubilation and really look forward to testing Aedes de Venustas. If it really is a pared down, sparser composition, it may be wearable on far more occasions than XXV.

I look forward to others' opinions.

Jubilation XXV. It's a bit richer and fruitier, and I think that's why I prefer it more.

I've never tried Aedes de Venustas but owned Jubilation XXV. As much as I loved it, it only lasted a few hours. It got a bit irritating after a while so I swapped it. Might want to test it on your skin before spending the $200-300 for it.

I enjoy both of them but bought the Aedes. I find it's more unique and more wearable in different situations: work, dress up or casual. Amouage (& maybe it's because of the price of the juice) is more dress up and wear for special occasions. IMO I'd suggest purchasing the Aedes & get a good sized decant of the Amouage.

If you can afford it, go with the Amouage. It is richer, more complex and, to my nose at least, more fully realizes the ideas that the two scents have in common.
