    It's overcast and a little cooler here today, so I jumped on the chance to wear Neil Morris Hologram and my purple dress! :-)
    Wishing you all a lovely Wednesday!

    Estee Lauder - Azuree
    Tangy-green, squinting light, I blink and breathe.
    Rippling ruffles, squawk and fly. Stretch those wings!
    Fresh; this color is sublime!

    Notes that feel right to me from internet sources:
    top notes of aldehydes, bergamot, and gardenia;
    heart of jasmine, cyclamen, ylang ylang, and orris;
    base of patchouli, leather, oakmoss, amber, and musk.

    The Estée Lauder website lists Azurée’s notes as;
    top of basil, jasmine, and citrus;
    heart of armoise, vetiver, and rose;
    base of patchouli, moss, and amber.

    Um ... dang! I feel all faint from his excellency Le Grand Duc's pic above ...

    I am in a sample of Sahlini's La Femme. Much more floral than Femininde, very jasminey on a warm smooth woody base. Another beautiful fragrance from this house.

    I do wonder if that ad would inspire Mr. Straight Guy to run out and pick up a bottle ... I certainly find it, um, inspirational, though.

    Evening all,

    I've been on a training day with work today, and when you work as a pre school teacher it's not an ordinary day with lectures in a boring class room. We visited a garden called "The Senses Garden" (freely translated here, bare with me), where we got to smell, touch, listen, see and taste everything. Also, we had exercises in how to teach maths - outdoors. For this I had to wear something green, so Molinard de Molinard it is.

    Hi, pomander! Great to see you!
    trikkirikki, loooove that green Molinard de Molinard - still need to get myself another bottle. One of these days...

    I'm in green today, too. The utter perfection of Parfums de Nicolai Le Temps D'Une Fete, which has rapidly skyrocketed to one my top favorite fragrances of all time (so far, that is), almost even knocking Cristalle edt off the very top. Gasp!
    Notes (fom luckyscent): galbanum, mastic, opoponax, narcissus, hyacinth, daffodil, styrax, oakmoss, sandalwood.

    I wanted to be like rickbr (Dior week), but the stopper on my mini of Poison was STUCK this morning (and I was already late!). Call me the Queen of Lame...

    So I went with one that always works on days like today...

    Prada Infusion d'Iris

    Beautiful incense-y iris. Maybe I'll try Dior all week next week (start fresh! plus, it'll give me time to figure out how to open up that stupid mini).

    Hugs all!

    Started the day in CDG x Stephen Jones, then topped it up, seeing as I was in Boots, with a spritz of Dior Fahrenheit Absolute. Now revelling in my uberbutchcampyness! I call this layering experiment Handlebar Moustache Violet!
    Out here we are running for the wide open spaces, the road-smell after the rain.

    Hi all!

    I spent the morning in Provence Santé Tilleul/Linden. This afternoon I visited a consignment shop where I spotted a 100 ml. bottle of Ambre Narguilé. The SA allowed me a spritz. It has a top note that is discordant, though it settles down nicely after half an hour. All in all I prefer Ambre Soie.

    I took a couple more photos of roses just opened: "Fragrant Plum" and "Full Sail." Will update my albums in a little while.

    Splendid stuff. Although I think the vintage EdP gives this a run for its money.

    I will be almost a recluse, locked up at home for several days to do a lot of grading, so I can experiment with fragrances!
    Today it was Asja by Fendi on one arm and Guerlain L'Instant on the other.
    I had fun comparing them, they are both honeyed orientals (L'Instant listed as a floriental and Asja as oriental), and while Asja puts forth a soft cloud of decidedly natural aromas, L'Instant has a pointed hard edge, and yes, I can see how one may be finding it synthetic. Do I like it regardless? Oh yes! I am also excited because I was able to smell both jasmine and magnolia in it. It impressed me more than Asja, but I might just try it by itself to enjoy it with no comparisons/distractions.

    Today I'm in most of what's left of my Citizen Queen by JHAG sample... and yes, it is a good scent with longevity... and nobody looked at me like I stank at the office today so... and nods to BayKAT.

    Edit: And now I'm trying to find something to layer with the modern Poison EDT, to re-oomph the scent... So far, only watering eyes with the first experiment (wildly aimed)... Miyake. Don't think it works so much.

    This afternoon, now I've worked my butt off at the gym , I put on some Joy parfum extrait - not vintage but the more pedestrian Proctor and Gamble version . You know what ? It's fabulous- it IS indeed Joy parfum .I am really happy to say P & G have done a fantastic job with keeping Joy as Joy.

    Warum, I used to own them both -- in different times in my life -- Jai Ose and Asja -- and loved them both. Jai Ose has (sadly!) been reformulated when Guy Laroche's name disappeared from the packaging -- but it used to be very nice with resins and amber. Fendi Asja -- cherry top finally got to me and I sent it to another BNer. I do not find them very similar altogether. And sorry, I am not stalking you, today or answering your Birthday question. In fact, I like you and pay attention to what you are saying. I probably need to send you something to prove it. Warum nicht?

    I am in older Yves Rocher Cantata -- thanks to a fabulous BN friend -- it is a very smooth scent with boozey fruit and ice-creamed sandalwood, very Italian in mood.

    Congratulations to actiasluna and Mimi for joining the boys and blogging together.

    OFF
    Twolf, sweetheart, I like you too and I didn't think you were stalking me at all! Neither today nor yesterday. In fact, I appreciated "corny answers" -- they're exactly what I was looking for when I asked my "corny question!" I didn't thank you for them then, so I do now!

    I will trust your experience on J'ai Ose and Asja without questioning my own memory, and here's why I can do both: sounds like you were conscious when you used both scents. As for me, I was not allowed to touch Mom's bottle, so all I have is a memory of how I slept hugging her clothing when I was a little kid. Not much more than that, so it can possibly be very inaccurate. The fact that Asja reminds me of that is lovely for me, so I am a happy mother's child today, if you know what I mean.

    But if I want to look for something to replace J'ai Ose for my now-perfumeless Mom -- then of course I welcome your opinion because I think it has more chances to be close to my Mama's! so I appreciate your take on it very much!
