Default Is there something similar to M. Micallef's Gaiac without the clove?

I really love this fragrance but only after the clove part mellows out. There's something sensuous, rich and comforting that I really respond to, but I can't stand clove when its featured so prominently.

I've tried M. Micallef's Note Vanilla and Aoud Gourmet hoping it would be similar to the Gaiac without the clove, but those two fragrances didn't do it for me.

Also, I've tried Guerlain's SDV and other vanilla fragrances including Eau Duelle, hoping to get that richness that I'm responding to in the Gaiac, and those didn't satisfy whatever craving it is I'm after in the Gaiac.

    Any other suggestions?

I find the dry down of Five o'clock Au gingembre similar to Gaiac

Ohhh... thank you for the suggestion.

I would never have thought of that. I've sniffed it out of the bottle and liked it a lot, but never experienced the dry down. I'll give it a try next week.
