    Happy Friday to All!!

On this humid morning I'm wearing Citron de Vigne by Fresh.

Top Notes: neroli, bitter orange, pink grapefruit
Middle Notes: Fresh's pinot noir accord, jasmine tea leaves, lemongrass
    Base Notes: patchouli, sandalwood, amber

Citron de Vigne is a very natural smelling scent, with stand out notes (on me) of citrus, a touch of flower and a bit of soap and an earthy sandalwood. I would describe CdV as charming

Evangeline, what a pretty Aromatics Elixir bottle. I don't think I've ever seen that one before.

This morning, I'm wearing a combination of Crabtree & Evelyn's Lily of the Valley body powder and Yves Rocher's Désir de Nature (both gifts from Basenoters) after a morning walk with the dog. I'm glad I got that in early, as the rest of the day is supposed to be hot and muggy, so I'm staying indoors today to do house cleaning, laundry, etc. As my "reward" for all that, I'll get to work on my crocheting project this afternoon, which has been languishing in an unfinished state for months now. So that's my exciting life and Scents of the Day (so far). I hope all are well here!

    Carole Lombard
    Caron - Tabac Blond
    Leathery, luxurious, drinkably sumptuous;
I swoon as the dark tide engulfs me.
Amber and florals sparkle through while
warm sweetness flows and soothes like molasses.

Created in 1919 by Ernest Daltroff, at that time the only
feminine fragrance with tobacco notes, a dry chypre fragrance with
top notes of orange blossom and lemon,
heart notes of jasmine and tobacco, on
base notes of cedar wood, amber, civet, benzoin and oak moss.

I'm wearing Léonard by Léonard today.

I FINALLY found the perfect green/floral chypre scent for me --- and I've tried many that I've liked very much, but for some reason didn't love. Ya know?

To my nose, there is a definite similarity to Parure by Guerlain - but Parure is a bit more "rosey". There's also a similarity to Chanel No.19 (edp)
I ADORE Parure, but tend not to wear it much because I only have 1 bottle, and it is almost impossible to find these days.
Léonard will be worn often because it is a scent that is easy to wear and meshes beautifully with my skin chemistry.
Top notes are aldehydes, iris, galbanum, hiacynth, bergamot and lemon; middle notes are carnation, orris root, ylang-ylang, lily-of-the-valley and rose; base notes are spices, sandalwood, amber, musk, oakmoss and cedar.

Wow, I love that Lubin Vetiver bottle!

Sofi, you have me so excited for the arrival of my own bottle of Dune!

I'm up to G in my perfume alphabet this morning, so I'm wearing Gucci by Gucci from a sample. I'm kind of surprised at how warm and summery it smells, coming out of that square smoked-glass bottle. Put the J.Lo name on this and stick in a little bottle with sparkly charms instead of the horse brass, and everyone would rave about how it smells like the beach! I guess that's the tiare? But it's also got a nice solid dark base so you don't just smell like tiki drinks with umbrellas in them.

Oh, my, Dora. A heartfelt hug from me for you and your mom.

    Q U E S T I O N : What perfume would you say Woolite smells like?
While cleaning and laundering today, a large, full bottle of Woolite lept from the window sill and exploded behind the washing machine, which, because it was full of water, could not be moved to deal with the spreading goo. Anyway, even after the clean-up, the laundry and bathroom smell like cheap, modern perfume.

Wore it yesterday, had to "green" it up for the heat... but yes, I love it and get more of a Rose Scent than a "like Chanel 19" which is definitely a green scent on me.

Oh dear, Dora! ((((HUGS)))) ... your family has had way too many difficulties this year... here's hoping they get better soon!

And this afternoon, I'm comparing Chanel No. 19 and Leonard de Leonard side by side. I realize that my reasoning behind using a Vetiver Caron layering on the LdL is to make it smell MORE like Chanel No. 19, which has a very green, "peppery" top in comparison to the LdL on my skin, which has a warm, rosy, creamy-sweet top and middle.

I'm probably going to be "scarce" this weekend as the sweetie pie is coming and I have to catch up on the housecleaning before he arrives... (my Peter Pan lifestyle of doing as I please after work is catching up with me!)

Today I wore Silences by Jacomo, what a fabulous scent that moves me. Just to wonderful for words.

Tonight I am wearing the divine Narcisse Blanc de Caron. I think this scent is so delicious and quite different than Narcisse Noir; most people tend to call NB "Narcisse Noir Light", but I feel it is more deserving of its own compliments. It truly has a delicious white flower bouquet that just sings on my skin.

    Hugs all around.

Dolce & Gabbana Pour Homme for me this morning. I want to like this one, and it's not bad, I just don't think it's Full Bottle Worthy. Not sure why I want to like it so much. I guess since I own and like Light Blue Pour Homme, I think the bottles would look good next to each other. Silly I know, but oh well. Not doing it if I don't like the juice.

Anyway, after mowing the yard this afternoon, switched up and went with Viktor & Rolf Antidote. Much better. Love this stuff.

    A little late posting today.
Hugs to Dora and her mom.

I received an unexpected e-mail from a friend who loves the new Guerlain Cologne de Parfumeur. Since I was happy to hear from her, I wore the new Guerlain Cologne. It is very refreshing. When I came back from lunch I received a couple of perfumes in the mail: a mini of Chaos and a sample of Olivia Giacobetti's NY Vamp from the Honore de Pres line. Mimi would love that one.

Hey Arwen....I am sure I would. The new Cologne de Parfumeur sounds great too!
Please someone tell me if Sous Le Vent is now permanent or is it still limited edition. I HATE falling for limited editions. I bought a small decant to tide me over till I can get a bottle.
