    Question unisex Jasmine

This is yet another jasmine thread. I am aware of the heavy hitters like A la Nuit, Jasmine et Cigarette, and others. What I am looking for is a nice eau de jasmine or jasmine water if you will. Something light, clean, clear, and unisex. Any suggestions?

Good question. I'd love to have a jasmine themed eau de cologne, too.

Eau du Coq certainly has a little jasmine and maybe CS Neroli as well, but it is not the main theme. This should be an interesting discuss I hope.

May I suggest Gendarme?! It's actually marketed as a male frag, but I wear it and find it to be sort of a jasmine eau de cologne...the notes are:

    Citrus, Verbena
    Jasmine, Thyme
    Leather

Gendarme is a bright/clear refresher. Some complain of longevity, however I find it to have more than ample tenacity, yet close wearing.

I feel Donna Karan's jasmine would suit you. Very minimalist jasmine, indolic but not heady like A La Nuit, or subtly animalic like Sarrasins ( the latter I'd still recommend to any jasmine lover, though ).

My thoughts exactly! I totally agree.

I personally don't think of Gendarme as a jasmine prominent scent.

bokaba - try White Jasmine & Mint by Jo Malone.

The most obvious answer is Dior's Eau Sauvage. It has a fairly prominent hedione (jasmine synthetic) heart.

I always thought of Gendarme as a soapy mess

I think Bergamotto Marino has a light jasmine note.

According to the Bois de Jasmine website: "Comme de Garçons Odeur 53, contains the highest percentage of hedione on the market, making up more than half of the formula." http://boisdejasmin.typepad.com/_/20...nce_ingre.html
I own a bottle of it and wear it quite often, but it never really never hit me as a jasmine dominated scent before. Hmmm....

Have you tried Annick Goutal's Le Jasmin? I think this is lighter than many, but it has been a while since I smelled it.

    Chanel 19!

Personally, I can't tell the difference between most of the white flowers, but Chanel 19 makes me think of jasmine, so I think (and hope) that there is jasmine :P

When I wore my wife's Amouage Jasmine attar as a test, I got universally favorable reaction from both men and women:

Thé pour un Été would fit the original poster's Rx to a "T."

I also agree to some extent with the Eau Sauvage/Le Parfum de Thérèse/Diorella idea, though all of these are heavier scents than Thé pour un Été.

The pour un Ete sounds delightful. I shall have to get my hands on a sample. This is a jasmine discussion--where are you Primrose?
