Not yet. But I won't be surprised if they did. It won't be long before the big 4 come up with synthetic oudh...

Secret Oud?! It probably means you'll hardly be able to smell it! Consider the name a 'disclaimer' more than anything else...

I think someone is doing a bottle split of this. I've discovered pure oud oils which are addictive and much better than most of these "oud" fragrances.
Still waiting for Creed to come out with "Original Oud".
I believe synthetic oud already exists.

Amen. Pure oud oils are indeed addictive. I've succumbed to them myself.

I have a decant of Caron's "Oud Extrait," which they're touting as a blend of oud & jasmine. The "oud" is all but non-existent, and I'm pretty certain that what I smell is synthetic, along with the jasmine. I wasn't impressed.

I too am walking (albeit slowly) on this path and I have no doubt in my mind it is going to be my nemesis.

    Yes, I`ve tried it.
It shows that good flowery perfumes by Caron are not that far from Arabian attars.
Oud accord is made from other Indian stuff (saffron, sandalwood, nard, etc) - but it`s not real oud oil.
Overall it`s good perfume to wear, with powdery rose and woods.

I`d like oud to be discovered in the beginning of XX century - in chypre sillage it should be great.

I smelled it today....I was absolutely amazed by it! It's voluptuos, deep, yet fresh and powdery thanks to the intense rose note...a bit expensive though....but it's definitely worth it! Then I bought "Mon parfum cherie par Camille" (by Annick Goutal) and L'heure bleu edt. Still looking for a Carnation frag....Villoresi's not bad at all...

You're so pleasant with your word choices.

Caron should be ashamed of themselves - There's no secret here - Secret Oud is Caron's version of a celebrity scent. Yuck!
