Default French Lover vs. Aramis Havana...similar?

I already own Havana and I just got a sample of French Lover. Is it me or are these scents similar?

Not even a teeny tiny molecule of a fraction of a bit.

Sample mislabelling, possibly? They are so far apart, smell-wise, that it would be a bit hard to mistake one for the other.

Thumbs up Re: French Lover vs. Aramis Havana...similar?

    Absolutely NOT
Have I told you about the scent of jasmine? Have I spoken about the smell of the sea? The earth is scented. And I perfume myself to enhance what I am. That's why I can not wear a perfume that bothers me. Perfuming is an instinctive wisdom. And like all art, it requires some knowledge of yourself..."

I also suspect sample mislabelling. I have a sample of Bois D'Orage and a decent sized decant of the original Havana. From memory I don't think I would find them similar. But I'll probably do a side by side to see. Did you try them side by side, mike1990?

You actually read my mind. I did not until earlier today I decided to. Verdict? I don't know what I was thinking. Havana is much more powerful. Although French Lover is a relatively dry scent (little sweeter than Havana) it is much weaker to my nose. I'll have to give it a few more tests to see if I want to buy it in the future but it's very expensive. Anyone here have first hand experience with FL?

It must be mislabeled. French Lover is by no stretch of the imagination sweeter than Havana. It is dryer, but there's not a hint of sweet in there.
