Guerlain Habit Rouge Sport
This one is starting to rocket up my personal "top 40 charts" and is currently in the top ten. I just don't understand the bad reviews of this. For me, it does the split personality thing better than anything else. It also manages to present powder notes in a way that is completely unstuffy. I love the pepper and bamboo addition as well.
It's a true sport scent. I could wear this to a game, to the gym, on the golf course, on a date--anywhere. Yet, it's amazing how ALL of the facets of the original Habit Rouge still sparkle through from time to time. Sometimes I marvel at the balance of so many parts displayed in the original Habit Rouge. Habit Rouge Sport takes it to a whole other level.

The incomparable R de Capucci. Remarkable fragrance IMO.
For the second day in a row (and joining lingus today) in:
Scentologist, I wasn't able to resist purchasing TdH either. I found a great deal on a bottle in the Basenotes Sales thread. Good luck.

Think I will do MI in a little while.
Is the juice worth the squeeze?
Even though, or maybe because,
they are nothing alike, I prefer
this over the original PM anyday.

What a 180 I am doing on this fragrance. Mint is a tricky note for me, but the use of it in this one is winning me over. Classy and elegant, maybe a bit simplistic, but vetiver and vanilla brought me back to it and they are reeling me in big time. It also has a somewhat salty aspect that keeps me sniffing away. Never say never...the nose and perception are so tricky, but that is what makes it all so damn wonderful.

Well, with an a.m. wearing of Hermessence Poivre Samarcande, and an afternoon wearing Poivre 23 by Le Labo...it just seemed logical to finish the evening with a pepper trifecta like this one. Pepper and LOTS of bay leaves. I smell like a pot roast.

Kbe is wearing some great stuff this evening I see.
Today I wore Bois du Portugal.
That girl, that bottle, that mattress and me.
I intended to apply Royal Scottish Lavender on the way out the door this morning, but instead grabbed Royal English Leather by mistake. Strangely, it worked pretty well on a warm summer day. I've never associated RSL with warm weather. Surprisingly not bad for warm weather.
Later I applied a light misting of Eau Sauvage, on the way to some parties at a Major League Baseball game. Good call for sports events. Home team won, too. A fun night out.
When I got home I wanted a sweet, comfort kind of fragrance. Tiny dab of Dior Homme Intense. I love DHI before bed.
Day- Creed Vintage Tabarome
Night- YSL Kouros
Very, very fragrant day

For me a work of fiction exists only insofar as it affords me what I shall bluntly call aesthetic bliss, that is a sense of being somehow, somewhere, connected with other states of being where art (curiosity, tenderness, kindness, ecstasy) is the norm. - Vladimir Nabokov
