Default Las Vegas trip - fragrance shops to hit?

In a recent post I asked what fragrances I should being for my upcoming trip to Las Vegas. Several made mention of vegas being a great place to sample/buy harder to find fragrances direct from some of the niche botiques. Was looking for specific recommendations (and locations if you have them) of shops to check out.

First and foremost, hit the Palazzo. They have a dedicated Guerlain boutique there - Jorganne Magness is the manager there, and she's a real peach. Also the Barney's has a huge selection of niche and other quality stuff (e.g., Lutens, Malle).

In the Wynne, there is a Jo Malone, Penhaligon's, and a great Chanel boutique.

In addition to what the poster above mentioned. Dont forget to hit Fashion Show Mall and drop in to Saks and NM. Barneys is pretty good, but you may have a hard time finding an SA with alot of knowledge on specific frag houses. This particular Barneys is under staffed in the department compared to other Barneys locations.

I really like the Jo Malone boutique at Wynn because they'll take the time and mix and match a bunch of scents.

Tom Ford boutique at Crystals (City Center) is gorgeous. It has its own frag room, however, they are not into dishing out free samples. They do have quite collection of different size bottles. For Tom Ford samples go to the TF counter at NM. They are sample happy there.

Chanel has not one but TWO boutiques at Wynn/Encore so you should be able to find some nice things.

Hermes in Crystals at City Center. I was just there last week. The Barney's is great just have to get the right SA. Head to the basement of Barney's. Oh yes I agree about the Tom Ford Samples. I bought a bottle and ended up with 4 decants. Excellent staff. Guerlain in the Palazzo is first rate. Jorganne Magness is the best. She is more then helpful and really loves perfumes. They also have a Guerlain store at Bellagio. Its in the Gift shop upfront of the Casino. I am not sure about the Forum shops at Ceasars.

    Good Luck in Vegas!

Damn it all! I miss Vegas. Lived there for years.

Any one of the mid to higher end hotels has boutiques, etc. - plus there are numerous malls - plus tons of brick-and-mortar shops. Vegas is a great place for scent as many of the service industry employers actively encourage their employees to "smell good".

Just a word of advice, there are businesses that use "people on the street" to push their knock-off products. These are horrible imitations of the real thing and often smell (with the initial blast) and look like the real-deal. Also, there are people selling knock-offs marketed as knock-offs on the street that are crap.

I worked at the Venetian for some years, so I'm inclined to direct you to the Canal Shops, ect. Where ever you go have fun!
If you get a chance, eat at the Samba Brazilian Steakhouse in the Mirage - my brother works there and the food is fantastic.

Oops, sorry... as to the original post, any mid to high end resort will have something for you to sample somewhere in their shops (they change quite a bit), but if you are looking to purchase be prepared to spend.

Check out Acca Kappa at the Venetian for a great line of fragrance, and bath and body products. I'm a fan of their 1869 and Cedro frags for Men.

I found this site, which has maps for most of the casinos and includes shopping:

THE boutique to see is Guerlain in the Palazzo, hands down.

The sales staff is the best and will help you with anything you need in the product line.
