Thumbs up There's something about Royal Water...

This is a very unappreciated Creed fragrance according to Basenotes reviews, and frankly I can't understand why. It has similar accords to Virgin Island Water in the top and it's dry-down is predominantly white musk. It oozes elegance and style and there's something about it, something absolutely amazing that mesmerizes me every time I get a whiff of it.

What do you think about this one?

What do I think? Probably slightly underestimated, yes.

It seems to have a peculiarly even-balanced combination of natural and synthetics which is less natural than the best of Creed, yet less synthetic than the worst of Creed. Hence the effect of people disagreeing on it quite strongly.

I like the semi-light, clean peppery notes... could use longer-lasting citrus... never wanted a bottle of this. The occasional sample satisfied the rare thirst.

it is very transparent for me, kind of like Himalaya but even lighter. it doesn't do anything for me, but i am not a fan of peppermint in fragrance.

It grows on you. Rapidly, substantially. I one time found myself on a business trip with a long-forgotten sample of Royal Water, and by the end of that trip it was an all-new love affair. Oh my, it is very good stuff.

I absolutely love the scent and personally feel that many of the negative criticisms are rather harsh.

it smells really wonderful. i don't wear it because I find it a tad feminine and cloying. but it's impossible to deny its delicate composition.

I do like this frag, but I don't really love it? Does that make sense? When I first bought it, I enjoyed it a lot. Lately, I get this kind of waxy smell which is not flattering that's why I gave my bottle a rest for now. But I will definitely still use it someday. I used this one time while taking a shower. I just wanted my bathroom to smell Royal Water so I just sprayed it all over. hahaha,.

Royal Water isn't about a citrus show...the peachy-citrus in the top is clouded out by some mint and isn't as sharp as say in Bois de Cedrat or Neroli Sauvage. However what I like most in Royal Water is the basil and juniper berry combo in the heart notes and the cumin in the basenotes. There's an airy, transparent green herbal-spicy-cumin accord which really defines it. Light yet carries some heft and is more than just a simple EDC formula.

The scent is awesome. Probably the sexiest scent in Creeds line up so far

I have road-tested a few samples and find it pleasant but not enough to justify a purchase.

I also like this one a lot. I like it more than most of the other Millesime offerings.

I bought a big 125mm bottle of it blind for A$99 a few years back, sprayed it on my arm, and immediately gave it to my wife.
    Way too feminine for me.
Her cat goes crazy for it whenever she wears it.

I own and adore Royal Water. It was my first full-bottle Creed purchase. To me, it sparkles like brilliant-cut diamonds. It's definitely not what you'd call macho - but that's fine by me. It fills a unique spot in my wardrobe and I re-fall in love with it every time I wear it. Wonderful fragrance.

I like it too. I think it's the most modern of the Creed line-up, along with VIW. I know a lot of BNers really dig big, rich, spicy scents but I'm just not one of them (with a few notable exceptions). Count me as more New School than Old School where frags are concerned, and RW is definitely New School.
