Default How Old Is This Madame Rochas EdC?!

I thought this was some oooold juice indeed,
but today a fellow BNer told me, that Rochas
are still selling Madame Rochas in those flacons.
He claims that this is modern (new formulation),
while I hold on to it being vintage (old formulation)
    ... who is right?!

I date it somewhere in the 60s ... am I totally off?!

    Thanks

    --- EDIT---

This is a huge 200ml glass bottle!

I can't give you a specific date, but I'm sure it's vintage...I'd say (just an educated guess, of course) it's from no later than the early 70's. The current cap is gold-toned, and it's an edt - I'm pretty sure the eau de cologne hasn't been around for at least twenty years, maybe thirty.

The current box is plain white, but the vintage edc came in this pretty box -

Evangeline is right ... My granny had that bottle; I remember it to this day. That would have been the early 70s.

    Thanks, honey ...

The funny thing is, that I have the vintage pure parfum aswell,
and it is still boxed in that exact box ... it's so cute!

I'd guess older, too, just because it's eau de cologne. So few of those are made anymore.

So the 60s I thought, isn't completely impossible?!

It probably is older lilybelle - I think you're right about that.

Very nice, Duc - I don't think I've ever even smelled the parfum! How is it?

I have a vintage edc too - it's this big spray bottle with that classic Madame Rochas print right on it. I inherited it from my grandmother when she died, but it had been on her vanity since the early 70s, probably earlier but I can't personally testify to it. But I think it's a safe bet that it's from the 60s. It was released in 1960, and I would guess that these are all from that same period.

I haven't tryed the modern one to compare it with,
only the vintage cologne I have.
I find it very rich and dense ... I'm not the biggest
Madame Rochas fan, but the parfum is fine, clearly
my fave of the two - they are similar, it's only the
    strenght which is different.

I find them both somewhat curry'ish ... I do not
    like that!

Your vintage bottle is adorable too!

    Thanks, Duc!

Femme comes in the same bottle but with the black lace - I love it! I've been wanting one for ages, but I really don't need any more Femme - I just want the bottle!

These spray bottles have those nifty continuous misters with the cfc propellant. They're fun to use, but verboten!
