Ideal Summer Storage Method
I have two options: my basement (which goes between 70-80 F depending on the day) and my room that i just put an AC in, which is currently making my room 79F, but im hoping to get it to around 70-75F.
- all of the fragrances i actually use are kept in their boxes, the ones that arent still have their caps.
- i keep them in a cardboard box
so my main concern is the +/-10 degree changes of my basement that WILL happen VS. the 5+ degree transition and potential huge fluctuations in tempurature if the AC unit fails/cant keep up with mother nature (my room can get up to 98F and H.U.M.I.D.)

Re: Ideal Summer Storage Method
Do you have a cupboard or drawer in your room that can be used to house the bottles, preventing them from exposure to direct heat and light? That may help to buffer the fluctuating temperature effects.
Two steps forward. One step back.

yes, actually i have them in a desk drawer; the desk in near the window with the AC unit so i figure that might help keeping it colder. its at around 76 degrees right now

Re: Ideal Summer Storage Method
I keep my fragrances in the same place (drawer/closet) all year long - and if they came in a box, they stay in their box.

I think you're absolutely fine then.

Re: Ideal Summer Storage Method
awesome, thank you
and do you think having them in their boxes is enough? i feel like the big cardboard box might be overkill

Re: Ideal Summer Storage Method
What about air tight storage, is that going to increase heat. Keep it stable or ruin the molecules?
